Sleeps 4 + Cot in 2 Bedrooms 1 x Double and 1 x Twin with 2 en-suite bathrooms
I grew up in the North East in a small mining community near Thornaby (is that right?). The greatest event of the year for myself, my brother and sister was the annual trip to St Ives for our summer holiday, despite the long drive and the constant “Dad are we nearly there yet”, the first view of the beautiful bay as you come into the town never failed to take our breath away and fill us with excitement for the days ahead. Those holidays gave me such fond memories, I wanted to re-create the experience for my son and grandson, so in 2015 I purchased the three cottages which were in a near derelict condition with the vision of creating some wonderful holiday cottages where the magic could be shared not only with friends and family but also our valued guests. Today we still come to St Ives for our Summer holiday and what a joy it is to see my mother and father spending time on the beach with their children, grandchildren and 5 year old great grandson. We hope you enjoy the living spaces we have provided and that you can create some wonderful memories of your own with your friends and families.

Why Owner chose Saint Ives
After many holidays in St Ives over the years it was always our dream to own our own cottage in the Town. We are now living that dream! The cottages were purchased in 2015 due to their prime location on the prettiest and most photographed street in St Ives. The properties were in a near derelict condition and sadly in need of lots of tender loving care.
What makes this Cottage unique
The property has been renovated to the highest of standards by local craftsmen who incorporated local timber and slate into the re-build. The interior has been fitted and decorated with the highest quality furnishing and fixtures giving a very luxurious feel in the living spaces. There are unique touches throughout the property which gives it a quirky feel that makes you smile. The property is close to the beach and harbour front and is in an excellent location to enjoy all the local facilities. Wella is luxury living at its finest.

Perfect! We will return in the Autumn.
It just doesn’t get any better than this place.
The cottage is located just off Fore Street and in the centre of Downalong and only a few minutes walk from The Harbour front and all of St Ives beaches.
We are centrally located and a short walk from The Tate Gallery and all of the local studios and shops none of which are more than a five minute walk away.
There is so much to do and see in the area, take a boat trip out to Seal Island where you can see the local seals basking in the sunshine. Alternatively try out the coastal walk where you will see the beautiful flora and fauna typical of the Cornish countryside along with plenty of local wildlife.
For a more relaxing pursuit, amble along the busy harbour front, gazing into the local art and craft shops, then pick your favourite spot for a morning coffee or afternoon tipple.
Another option for a beautiful walk is along to Carbis Bay which takes you through a gorgeous woodland path full of pretty flowers, or try foraging for wild garlic.
Every Thursday there is a farmers market featuring lots of local produce including Artisan breads, local cheeses, fruit and vegetables and of course the famous Cornish cider and gin.
One of our favourites is the local Kidz R Us theatre who put on some outstanding performances, check out their programme and book in advance to ensure you get a ticket.
Visit the famous St Ives Tate Gallery, with its ever changing exhibitions you can easily while away an afternoon here followed by afternoon tea in the coffee shop.
For children and teenagers there is a surf school located on Porthmeor beach, book lessons in advance.
Further afield you will find the wonderful Minack outdoor theatre set against the backdrop of a wild Cornish coastline.
