About the property

A relaxing place in the very centre of Biarritz, directly on the beach.

Our only apartment located facing the ocean, le Miramar offers an unobstructed view of the Gulf of Gascogne from the living room and the private terrace. The apartment was entirely renovated in 2011, but its location in the heart of the historic centre of Biarritz provides old style charm to this contemporary residence.

The open plan living room is the master piece of this vacation rental. A double sliding patio-door opens onto a terrace overlooking the ocean. The adjacent wall has elegant glass doors, which, opened or closed, offer an exceptional view of the beach and the lighthouse. The modern furniture, its high ceilings, and the exposed old brick give the living room a loft-like style. This style is enhanced by the fully fitted kitchen, which features black and steel fittings. The grey concrete kitchen counter fits 6 persons(just like the rest of the house). The3 bedrooms were fully renovated to offer you a five star hotel quality stay. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and an en suite walk-in shower. The other 2 bedrooms share a bathroom with walk-in shower. One of the bedroom has a queen-size bed, and the other one has 2 single beds that can be out together. Our manager will do everything in his power so that your stay exceeds all your expectations. We can organize your activities, hire a vehicle or even make restaurant reservations.

Two private parking spots are available, it’s quite a luxury in Biarritz ! Sometimes some clients from the Sofitel Hotel mistakenly park there but the hotel concierge will take care of this for you, no worries.

We always supply linens and towels ! However condiments – olive oil, salt, pepper, paper towel, are not necessarily provided but we make sure you have what you need to get you started.

Regarding the location, you could not be closer to the beach, since it is only a few steps away. Miramar beach is very peaceful and less visited by the summer crowds.

Fantastic property with all the necessary amenitie

We had a great stay at this property with a great view of the beach and close to everything in Biarritz. Our whole family was there including out 10 month old grand child.

Hugo and team were very helpful in anything we needed.

We would highly recommend a stay there.

"Beach, baby, beach!

Fulfilled the dream of being right on the beach (over the walkway, with access by a flight of stairs), that picture says it all. The lighthouse, scenic rock - ah. Couldn't have been better in a movie set. I stayed up the first night just staring at the lighthouse and listening to the loud surf. Beautiful. It is right next door to the Sofitel Hotel, Pool/Spa, which is a little off-putting for one of the windows, but also a fantastic convenience and vacation-saver for the rainy days. Two of the three bedrooms open to the parking area and open windows are essential for air; not so bad, just expect it. The apartment itself was otherwise well laid out and comfortable, more upper middle class than lux. One toilet, two showers (maybe one with a tub, don't recall now). The price is for the location right on the beach, which I totally "get". There is a good shopping street 4 blocks inland; ask the agent to be pointed to it, it's not obvious.

Stylish and comfortable beachfront apartment

While we have had extensive travel experience in France, this was our first visit to Biarritz, as well as our first experience with Keyweek. Both Biarritz and the Keyweek staff and Miramar property exceeded all possible expectations! Our group was made up of two couples and two kids, and Gregoire and Filipa went beyond the call to make sure we had everything we needed upon arrival - from private transport from the train station, to wine, cheese and fruit, to surfboards and wetsuits from Marty's Surf Delivery! Miramar is as spectacular in person as it is in the pictures, and it was clean and sophisticated with absolutely breathtaking views, not to mention fun surf right out front. It was so nice to have such easy beach access, and yet be a short walk to the town center and marketplace. Biarritz is our new favorite destination, and Gregoire and his team at Keyweek are friends that we look forward to visiting again and again. They worked hard to ensure this was the trip of a lifetime for us, and they delivered :)

Biarritz perfection

The views are truly as breathtaking in person. There is no better view on this beach. Modern, well appointed interior. Directly situated next to Sofitel hotel and access to all its amenities. Grocery store and pharmacy are near by as well as Hermes amongst countless boutique stores and restaurants. Look no further. The perfect vacation.

Amazing views.

A lovely apartment with outstanding views of the Atlantic. So fun to watch the surfers, the swimmers, the early dog walkers, etc. Very convenient to Miramar Beach, and also to La Grande Plage. Easy walking distance to restaurants. Very nice to have a complimentary cleaning half way through our stay. Comfortable and well equipped. The only possible hitch to this apartment is that there is only one toilet. As we were only two people, it did not matter. However, I can see how that could be a problem for a larger family.

Fabulous beachfront location

My family and I stayed at Miramar August 2014 and had wonderful time. The apartment is beautiful and the location is amazing. Floor to ceiling windows provide fabulous views of the water and beach. It was lovely to sit out on the deck with a drink and just watch the people on the beach or the surfers in the water.Besides being located on the beach, there is a small market district nearby with bakery, wine shop, grocery store, restaurants, etc. which made it very easy for us. The kids loved to walk up the street to get a baguette or crepe.

The apartment is large with 3 bedrooms and well equipped. Gregoire and Filipa were incredibly helpful with restaurant reservations, tips on excursions and surfboard rentals.

My two issues with the apartment were that the two front bedrooms face the street and since there is no air conditioning (which you don't need) the windows need to stay open. That made me uneasy with my children sleeping in the front bedrooms - in fact, I made my husband sleep in one of the bedrooms. The Sofitel hotel is located next door which is nice however, they receive deliveries very early in the morning and if you are sleeping in the front bedrooms it can get quite loud. I slept in the interior bedroom and only heard the waves crashing and the wind blowing. So I suppose it depends on where you sleep. Otherwise, it was all wonderful.

We absolutely loved Biarriz and would go back in a heartbeat.
