Rural house of traditional architecture, on one level, surrounded by a large porch and a large garden.
In the heart of the Jálama Valley is this rural house surrounded by mountains and vegetation. It has been designed to enjoy nature from any of its rooms. Equipped with all the comforts, but respecting the tradition in its construction. Located very close to the natural pools halfway between Hoyos and Acebo.
Come to Sierra de Gata, a corner of Spain for a long time forgotten by what has continued to preserve the essence of the old in each town, in each place, its people. It is as if time were slower, nature in its pure state.
To speak of this region is to recognize the friendliness of its people, to relate the day to day in the local dialect, to hear the murmur of crystal clear water eroding the torrents of the steep valleys before stagnating in the numerous natural pools, smelling the intermingled aromas of the heather and the rockrose, to see the peaceful planing of the imposing raptors, to taste the famous wines of vineyards cultivated in terraced systems, to feel lost in the pastures of oaks, holm oaks and cork oaks, or to collect the fruit of the green that, once pressed, liquefies the better oils.
In short, it is a purely rural and agro-cultural landscape, typical of the sierra where time seems to stop and the hours do not count. Awaken with a new radiant sun (winter sun), see the celestial dome full of stars on summer nights, soak in the rain, the daily walk, the ancestral hunting, the trout jump under a gallery forest, the typical their villages, traditional crafts, home cooking ...
... Live in it
The Sierra de Gata occupies the most northeastern corner of Extremadura with landscapes of breathtaking beauty of the olive grove that produces an extraordinary oil, the vineyard with its excellent wine, to the native forests in the headwaters of the valleys (Iberian birch, holly, juniper, holm oak rupícola and roble melojo), contrast with slopes of pine forests and oaks and lowland cork oaks.
From the castle of Trevejo currency the sierras of Garduño, San Pedro, Albilla and Cachaza accompanied by vineyards, olive trees, oak groves and pastures.
The Sierra de Gata invites you to get to know it through the footprints of ancient cobblestone roads, canyons and strings that cross valleys or hillsides, ascending to the top of the ports allowing you to see its landscape and emblematic places, observe animal and plant species.
