In the heart of the Provence, La Petite Maison Rose offers all simple pleasures and lets you submerge in local culture. Built in the sixteenth century on the ruins of a twelfth century rampart of a medieval castle, La Petite Maison Rose, overlooks the village roof tops and is nestled adjacent to the village Church which actively rythms the life of the village, with its bells and activities.

Packed with character features; exposed beams, bare-stone walls, a vaulted ceiling summer kitchen, and a wood burner, the property was respectfully updated and maintains its historical character whilst adding modern comfort and design. The cosy detached house is spread over three storeys and has a secluded and snug garden offering both sun and shaded areas.

Whether to discover the Provence, just relax & unwind, or immerse yourself into the uncomplicated village life, La Petite Maison Rose is the perfect getaway

Whilst its dark pink facade shows off it summer covering of the leaves of the ‘vigne’, this comfortable and cosy house is full of charm and forms part of the heritage of the village. The old thick stone walls keep the house cool over the hot summer days in the South of France.

The décor is simple and understatedly elegant with Farrow & Ball soft shades of grey, crème or white. The furniture carefully restored and collected from antiques shops across Europe, will ensure your comfort in style.

On the ground floor:

In 2004, we felt in love with this house in the village of Rians, adjacent to the church and full of charms. We made some adjustments and modernisation, keeping the historical layout and using original materials, We have redecorated it to our taste and we love to spend most of our holidays here, with our two daughters. Part of the French family lives nearby

Rians is one untouched and authentic village, ideally located to visit the region. The house is located in the village, on the top next to the church. It is our house when we come to France, where we love relaxing, and enjoying the nature and weather.

Very luminous with large windows in the kitchen. Private garden with a mature vegetation and ideal to relax and eat outside.

  • Bare-stone walls complimented by a locally made Terre-Cuites and exposed beams feature in the bathroom which offers a large walk-in shower, a full size bath and a sink set on a stone slab. The window opens out to the church square and fills the room with natural light, whilst the shutters will give you privacy. The house is equipped with a water boiler tank and in order to have an optimum enjoyment it, it is recommended to reasonnably use the hot water. The toilet is located under the stairs.

  • A narrow stairs leads up to the master bedroom which has one double bed (4’6”x6’6” - 140x200cm), and a charming dresser, as well as a cupboard with shelves. The rooms has double glazed window which looks out onto the presbytery and old clock tower, a free standing electric fan, a bedside table with a lamp. The third bedroom is located on the ground floor and has a single bed, with desk and chairs. The simple décor in soft grey, linen curtains, rattan head board, and vintage red floor give a romantic feel to the room. The dressing room is en-suite and reveals the slim and curved shapes of the house. The room has a single day-bed and a large wardrobe with the house linen. The bedroom has a small double glazed window overlooking to the village and the valley, a bedside table and a lamp.

For your comfort, beds will be prepared for your stay and a supplement of €10 per person is requested for the rent of all the linen for your stay (sheets, pillows, duvet, blanket, towels, kitchen linen). The rent property comes with furniture and equipment, water, gas for cooking and hot water and electricity. There is also a supplement of €25 over winter months for the gas for the heating per week, and also €25 per week for the wood supply. The kitchen is equipped with a gaz cooker, small refrigerator, and a dishwasher. In the summer kitchen you will find a second large refrigerator with freezer, a washing machine, a dryer, a iron board and iron, a vacum cleaner, a sink with a tap.
