Alum Chine is our favourite of all the beautiful Bournemouth Beaches, we love the area which is easily accessible for all Bournemouth has to offer, also providing easy access to Westbourne, another favourite for restaurants and it's individual shops. We fell in love with the apartments which were built on the site of the original Studland Dene Hotel. We have a large family and the apartments provide the perfect place to get together and enjoy the beautiful Dorset coastline for holidays and short breaks.
What makes this Apartment unique
Studland Dene is close to Alum Chine Beach which has a large childrens play area where you can catch a land train to take you along the seafront to Bournemouth. The building has an onsite Concierge who will ensure you are checked in and be on hand should you need any information about the area or the apartment.

Great location, lovely accommodation
The check-in process was seem less and the concierge was a nice touch.
My first impression on entering the property was how odd it was to have a bed in the lounge room. However, the sliding doors which allowed for privacy in the evenings were brilliant. The apartment was spotlessly clean with towels laid out all of the beds for all of the guests. There is ample crockery and cutlery and glassware and we eventually found the small but perfectly formed dishwasher under the cooker. My only comment would be that there is limited cupboard space for food.
I can imagine that the terrace area is fabulous when the weather is nice. Unfortunately we had rain for about three days so were unable to really experience the benefit.
Underground parking was also a bonus especially given the rain we experienced. Overall the apartment was excellent for us and the added benefit of the concierge and parking us feel very safe and secure in an unknown area.
Stayed here for 5 days, accommodation was beautiful was just as described online ,concierge very welcoming ,location to beach was about 5mins walk away, shops and restaurants were also near enough to walk to.We were very lucky to have lovely weather too.
Cliff top apartment
We had a lovely 5 night stay in the apartment. Part of this was due to the weather and we were able to spend a lot of time outside on the lovely terrace. The layout of the apartment is quirky and very small for 6 adults and a baby. You have to know each other quite well to be able to share one bathroom. The kitchen is small with little storage space for food if you want to eat in;the fridge is very small for 6 people. Bedrooms are again small with little storage space and barely enough room for fitting in the travel cot. It became a bit annoying to have to pull across dividing doors between the living room and one of the bedrooms every night and morning.
The location of the apartment almost makes up for this as it is so close to the beach, but again good weather is needed. I am not sure what we would have done if it had rained for 4 days!
Great Beach Apartment
We had a fantastic stay at Studland Dene. The apartment is in a great location and a beautiful area overlooking the wonderful sandy beach between Bournemouth and Sandbanks. It is only a 10-15min walk along the promenade to busy Bournemouth with lovely restaurants, cafes and bars along the way. On arrival the concierge was extremely helpful and friendly. The owners were also very helpful supplying us with a cot and high chair for our granddaughter. They were very quick to reply to our request. All the information for our stay was given. The apartment is very well appointed in every aspect and had everything we required for 4 adults and a baby. Great having a car parking space in the garage and there is also street parking. We look forward to staying in the apartment again.
Perfect Apartment and Location
Apartment was perfect for 2 families (3 adults and 2 kids) but could have happily accommodated another adult and infants. The location was perfect - literally a 2 minute walk and you're on the beach. Owners are extremely helpful and great at getting back to you quickly on email. Concierge were also helpful and very friendly.
One thing to note is that the balcony area pictured is shared with the neighbouring apartment.
You do get a parking space with your stay in a secure underground car park, however if you have more than one car you may struggle to find space as street parking is very busy.
We will definitely be back to stay here again.
