Seascape - a detached property that sleeps 6 guests in 3 bedrooms
Minimum age of primary renter:18
Max guests:6 (sleeps up to 6 adults)
This is our fourth time of staying at Seascapes. The accommodation has some negative features like not enough storage space in the kitchen and ensuite. Need hooks on the back of the bathroom and bedroom doors. Towel drying a problem. Also heavy use of fabric conditioner on the towels and bedding not good.
We do love the views and always have a good holiday but feel that nothing has been improved or changed since it was built. (garlic crusher still broken)!!!!!
We also had to do some cleaning in the bedrooms... dirty tops of units, drawers unclean and dusty skirting boards.
We appreciate it's a big house to clean given the limited turn around time.
Hope this is helpful. Staff at Portscatho Holidays always very efficient friendly and attentive. Excellent.
The T.V. very difficult to get BBC and other programmes we wanted to see. In fact it was very poor and we virtually gave up on trying to sort it out as it was far to complicated. In the years past we have had no problems with it. Andrew Turner
Another lovely holiday
We love Seascape but do feel it’s a bit tired. Chipped mugs, stains on chairs, it could do with a freshening up.
Seascape is a lovely house and obviously midway through the season there are things that need replacing. The owner does take your feedback on board and will rectify as soon as possible. I am glad to see that you have re booked for next year.
What more could you want? A great place to stay with fabulous views and only a short walk to the beach, pub, nice coffee, pizza and ice cream! I can’t think of a better place to stay.
Quiet but great location
We tend to stay close to St Ives when we visit Cornwall, but we decided to stay elsewhere this year, and we are so pleased we did.
Although Portscatho 'town' is small, it is so picturesque and had everything we needed for the week. Whether it be a for a meal, drink, coffee or even to get a few essentials.
Seascape was only a short walk to the main area, which was great as we have a 2 year old who doesn't like to sit in her pushchair for very long.
1 piece of advice, try Tatam for a pizza and a coffee (Tatam pizzeria is only oply from Wednesday-Saturday evenings from memory). Amazing pizza and coffee and both can be had overlooking the sea as both are located right by the small beach.
The house itself was lovely., Very deceiving from the outside, as it doesn't look as if the rooms will be that big, but every room was a great size! House was also very clean and decor was tasteful.
The only thing I would say, if you have a toddler, there isn't a gate from the decking down to the garden. Trying to keep a fearless 2 year old from the stairs was quite challenging.
We would definitely stay here again,
Perfect for families
This is a house that we have stayed in a number of times before, albeit the last time was about 5 years ago. We were very pleased to see it has been kept in excellent condition. It is in a good location with excellent sea views and is well equipped and only lacked a whisk for our needs. My only slightly negative comment was that the ensuite shower did not look like it had been properly cleaned for quite some time, ie months if not years and the towels smelt like they had not been washed between lettings. Otherwise everything was excellent and we would certainly stay again if we wanted a base in Cornwall
Thank you for your feedback. I am really pleased that you enjoyed your stay in Portscatho and at Seascape. Our aim is that the houses are cleaned to a high standard and am really sorry we fell short on this occasion. I have contact the cleaner to discuss.
