Natural light flows through the living area, making it airy and bright. Surrounded by large windows, the room has a comfortable sofa and a flat-screen TV, so you can make yourself at home. Wood flooring adds to the apartment’s modern appearance.
You can cook up a storm and find all the essentials in the kitchen. All the appliances are modern and easy to use, including a kettle, toaster and coffee machine. You’ll also find a complimentary welcome pack stuffed full of coffee, tea (of course!), and proper English scones! Enjoy having breakfast with your beloved ones at the counter, whilst admiring them flipping those pancakes as a pro.
Right behind the sofa, you’ll find the lavish and comfortable double bed. Get a relaxing night’s sleep wrapped up in fresh, luxury linens. The neutral colour scheme adds elegance and a peaceful atmosphere to the room.
Freshen up and get ready in the sleek bathroom and wake up in the mornings with the luxurious walk-in shower. The pastel-blue tiles are a charming detail which adds to the room’s neatness. Soft, cotton towels and shampoo are provided to each guest!
My property will be professionally cleaned before your stay.
Guests can access the entire property. It is paramount that we are respectful towards our neighbours.
My friends at Hostmaker are looking after my home while I am away; they are a short-lets management service team who know London like the back of their hand! I trust them to look after you and give you a warm welcome! If you have any questions about your stay, please get in touch through the channel platform.
The beautiful area of Maida Vale, characterized by green and verdant streets, small independent shops, and pretty buildings is a charming part of London. Aside from plenty of great food and drink options, the two main attractions of Maida Vale are arguably the location and the canal. The Little Venice Canal may be London’s best kept secret, enjoy long walks by the canal and live comedy show in a cosy setting at the Canal Café Theatre. The location of Maida Vale is ideal because of how close it is to central London is a walk or a quick tube ride away, as is the green expanse of Regent’s Park. You are also near Lord’s Cricket Ground; an iconic and historic sports venue as well as home to one of the oldest sports museums in the world, The Lords Cricket Museum. Slightly further away the heart of Maida Vale are the beautiful green lawns of Regent’s Park which houses ZSL London Zoo as well as a picturesque rose garden, a boating lake (with rentable paddle and pedal boats) and lots of open space for picnics or sports – something for everyone! Finally, any rock music fan can make the pilgrimage to Abbey Road to see the famous recording studio and have a photo walking across the Abbey Road zebra crossing, just like the Beatles did in 1969!
When it comes to exciting and atmospheric places to eat and drink, Maida Vale is not short of options. Decorated with extravagant chandeliers and lavish furnishings, The Bridge House pub is an excellent setting for enjoying a hearty, home-cooked meal. The Fiorentina pizza at Le Cochonnet restaurant just off busy Elgin Avenue, is absolutely delicious and worth visiting. Another local favourite is the Waterway Restaurant where brunch can be enjoyed with views of the Grand Union Canal. For a drink after dinner, head to The Elgin, a hip local with delicious Gin & Tonics. For lovers of local, independent shops, no visit to Maida Vale would be complete without dropping into The Dry Goods Store on Lauderdale Road, where customers bring their own packaging and products are sold by weight, rather than by package.
The apartment is just at a 2-minute walk from Maida Vale tube station, connecting you to the Bakerloo Line. You’ll be only 2 stops from Paddington providing direct and quick access to Heathrow airport on Heathrow Express, plus National Rail services. There is frequent 24/7 bus service to Marble Arch, Covent Garden and Piccadilly also just around the corner from the apartment.
The neighbourhood is just splendid though, so we strongly recommend having a stroll, especially having Regent’s Canal and Little Venice so close. If you fancy a ride, Uber and Cabify are nice and cheaper alternatives to taxis.
