3br 3ba -- all private suites! Private woods surrounding the property. Huge deck
A Broadway music director purchased this Woodstock home in 2015, and since then it's become the favorite getaway for many of Broadway's finest. Now open to the public!
This warm, rustic, and welcoming home, designed by a visual artist, is the perfect vacation and weekend getaway. With its sprawling windows, the elevated house seats you in the heart of spectacular forest serenity and views which can be enjoyed from every room in the house while being just walking distance from town.
The chef’s kitchen is ideal for those who love to cook, and just as inviting for those who prefer to order food from one of the fine restaurants in town. Enjoy entertaining in the indoor dining room or on the huge back deck, which provides the perfect setting for barbecuing, dining, reading, and peaceful star-gazing.
The house sleeps up to 8 and offers 3 master bedrooms, all with private en suite bathrooms, perfect for 3 couples to share or a family. Watch cable TV or a movie on the flat screen TV in the upstairs living room, or enjoy the peaceful atmosphere in the spacious downstairs music room/ living room where there is a grand piano and other musical instruments, various board games, and another large flat screen TV (both with Netflix and Cable).
Just a 25 minute tree-lined walk or 3 minute drive to the center of the beautiful village of Woodstock with its fine restaurants and arts, and from ‘Big Deep’ - where swimming in the natural waters is at its best.
The vibrant village of Woodstock, with its fine restaurants, cocktail bars, art galleries and shops, is located in the Catskill Mountains which offer a wide variety of outdoor activities, hiking and sports. Under 2 hours from NYC, completely private and secluded by trees yet a stone's throw again from town, this home is perfect for those looking for a getaway from the city or for the artist wanting to create. Located on Plochmann Lane, custom-designed by a local architect and just down the road from the famous Levon Helm Studio, this spot is Woodstock at its absolute finest.

Why The Matias Family chose Woodstock
I am an artist and musician, and fell in love with this house at first sight. The upstairs living room offers the most inspiring and magical views of acres upon acres of private woods, all the while being just a mile from the center of the village of Woodstock. We couldn't have found a more perfect balance of privacy and proximity.

Long Weekend Getaway
The house was in a great location - very quiet and peaceful. The deer even showed up in the morning!
Enjoyed our stay!
Another great weekend!
This was my second time staying at this beautiful property. It's such a great house for lounging, cooking, playing games, etc. It was softly snowing all weekend which was very pretty to look at through the big windows. I would definitely come back -- the location is very easy to get to from NYC for a quick getaway!
Perfect for the occasion (or any occasion)
My college friends and I do a yearly long weekend trip during the time of the Super Bowl. We decided on Woodstock as an ideal location. We were lucky enough to be able to rent this house. It is absolutely incredible; the pictures don’t do it enough justice. From the property itself, to the proximity to town, to the large living/kitchen area where everyone can more than comfortably congregate to the balance of the spacious and meticulously kept home — just fantastic. More than just the home, the Matias Family were incredibly accommodating as hosts and made us all feel very welcome and comfortable. Look no further. This is the place.
Beautiful home with terrific scenery. Quiet and private. Perfect for our needs
Spent the weekend at this lovely property located minutes from the village of Woodstock. 3 beautiful bedrooms with en suite bathrooms perfect for 3 couples get away. Property was large and beautifully decorated. Natural light pored into the living space and the large table in the dining room invited conversation and good wine. No complaints...check it out. You won't be disappointed. Our host was wonderful offering early check in as well as late check out. Would return in a New York minute !!!
We spent the MLK weekend in this house and had a truly wonderful time. The house was very clean and well managed, and had everything we needed during our stay. Or was very friendly and responsive throughout the process and checked in regularly to make sure that we were having a great time. The location was perfect and the view from the living room was beautiful. We especially appreciated the earthy vibe of the house. I would strongly recommend this property to anyone who is planning a weekend getaway trip in the Woodstock area.
Enchanted woodland home!
Our stay during the Christmas holiday was wonderful!
With small grandchildren living in nearby Stone Ridge, out-of-town grandparents and extended family decided it would be fun to rent a house and enjoy the "comings and goings" of everyone during the holidays. The open kitchen was amazing...great for cooking a full Christmas dinner as well as serving simple breakfasts of hot cereal with brown sugar and mugs of coffee. The large open great room with over-stuffed couches invited curling up with good "reads" or cuddling with grandkids, and the wide screen TV provided nightly respite from busy days. A large downstairs play/music room was available but we spent little time there as the upstairs great room was cozy and warm and bordered on three sides with huge windows looking out onto the deep surrounding woods. Christmas morning, we awoke to 6 inches of freshly fallen snow and deer ambling through the yard. It all seemed very magical. The driveway was even plowed within a very short time.
Nearby Woodstock had a small holiday parade, lots of lovely shops, and several convenient stores for necessities. While we didn't take time to explore the surrounding area, there is certainly much to to see and do in future visits.
Our only disappointment was unexpectedly not having the use of the wood burning stove. It would be wise to inquire about its availability if this is important to you.
We would recommend this private, wooded vacation home to anyone..... and are grateful for the generosity and kindness of the Matias family!
Must see in the area!! Just minutes minutes away from the house:
Big Deep, Plattekill Clove, Overlook Mountain, Levon Helm Studios,
