This penthouse apartment is located just a few minutes walk from the beach in a quiet and peaceful location.
The property has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with twin beds, and two bathrooms, The penthouse is tastefully furnished with high quality furniture. The lounge has a sofa bed, 32' flat screen TV receiving UK TV channels, pay per view sports channels and more including an online film and box set library. Free WI-FI internet which is unlimited is included.
The kitchen is fully equipped, including Microwave, fridge/freezer, oven and hob, toaster and washing machine/dryer. There is a full itinerary of cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils.
The penthouse also benefits from a private spacious roof terrace with views to the sea and mountains and has the luxury of its own private pool, a built in BBQ and is equipped with sun loungers, table and chairs.
For those using a car, there is secure parking. There is also lift access to the apartment.

My wife, Mandy and I (Andy) have been married for 36 years and live in Essex. We have two boys, both now married. Mandy is originally from Grimsby and I have always lived around London.

Why Andy Hazel chose Playas de Vera
we purchased our property in Vera Playa in 2008 and chose it because of the quietness of the area and that it was not like the hustle and bustle of the likes of the Costa Del Sol. But what sold us on it totally was it's position so close to the sea and the roof terrace where, when we can go there, spend as long as possible taking in the sun all day, enjoying the pool and wining and dining there.
What makes this Apartment unique
Unique benefits of this property are the roof terrace with the private pool and BBQ, Uninterrupted sun for as long as it is in the sky. And if you get bored with that, there is the beach a few hundred yards away with 3 beach bars. The property has WI-FI Internet which is included in the price. in 2014, Spain lost the signal to receive most UK TV channels. We have installed an Internet box that receives thousands of TV channels including all free to air UK channels and most pay per view channels, including sports channels too. If that isn't enough it also receives thousands of movies and TV box sets. Want to read a newspaper? it gets them too. As for the property we take great pride in keeping it in good order. We want it to be a home from home (with sun). We want our guests to benefit from that too. We do all within our power to make sure our guests have a great holiday and will want to come and stay again. And many do!

A fantastic find ;)
We had a great time in Vera and were so pleased when we arrived at Andy's apartment to find that it was exactly as described and pictured. Everything we needed had been thought of and there were folders with info of local highlights and restaurant recommendations etc which was v helpful.
The apartment was really lovely and the roof terrace and pool were superb. Throughout the booking process, deposits and return of deposits Andy was attentive and helpful, providing good directions and suggestions through out.
To be honest we couldn't have asked for more and we even had gorge weather all week! We have already recommended the apartment to our friends.

Great facility, super roof terrace.
Car essential to get around and eating out. Was incredibly quiet as very few apartments occupied at this time of year, so many nearby commercial outlets were closed. So no riotous nights at the disco!
Everything inside in good condition. We slept really well here.
A fantastic holiday in a peaceful area. The property had everythign we needed and the roof terrace and private pool were a bonus.
The local bars and restaurants have everything you need without having to drive but we had a car and enjoyed the surrounding towns and villages too. The meet and greet from the property manager was very informing and the directions from the owner were easy to read and the journey straight forward from Almeria.
We have already booked for next year because the property is so popular it gets booked very quickly.

The place was immaculate, with all the facility’s you would ever need,
The pool had full use, when we was not at the beach
All in all it is a truly fantastic place to unwind

Lovely apartment in quiet,well-maintained complex
This holiday marked a return to this region after having stayed in Mojacar 17 years ago. El Paraiso de Vera Playa was a well-maintained and pretty complex. The apartment had everything we needed for our half-term week, including a great roof-top solarium with mini-pool (cool, but we used it once) and a rooftop BBQ and dining table, which we used on several occasions even late into the evening. We used the underground parking and felt secure in the apartment on the second floor, accessible via the lift or stairs. The apartment was clean and comfortable and large enough for a family of 4, although the kitchen storage would not really be enough for longer stays. The double bed was small and, unfortunately, had a big dip in the middle. (We have since been told that the mattress is to be replaced shortly.) We enjoyed having 2 bathrooms, although the 2nd shower cubicle was tiny. There was plenty of hot water. The air-conditioning was a welcome bonus, especially overnight. We had enough utensils and equipment. I did have to hunt for a second hand towel, which was a bit odd. WiFi was good and there was plenty to watch on TV if we had wanted!
The apartment's immediate area, at the north end of Vera Playa, appeared very quiet and perhaps forgotten, which was fine for us and not everything was open this late in the season. The area has a well-known naturist community near the apartment with a dedicated area of the beach, as well as freedom to stroll nearby. The feeling of the place changed at the weekend when the Spanish visited: more cafés and bars were open, families strolled about and it felt more 'loved'. There did seem to be a small core crowd of local Brits in the nearby bars and restaurants, with English Footie on TV.
It was great to be able to reach the sea easily from the apartment and to stroll the long stretches of beach and coastline. Try Garrucha and Mojacar playa and pueblo for a day out. Further afield, try San José in the Cabo de Gato natural and Lorca in Murcia province- the historical part of the city was interesting and the castle was well-worth seeing, although it's a fair hike from the city.
Nearest cash machine a few kms away in Garrucha. Try eating out at el Bodeguita near the Consum , Laguna in north Garrucha , Mohana B2 on the beach towards Garrucha.
The owner provided clear instructions for access etc and everything was as advertised. We would go back to the area and recommend the apartment.
Thank you very much for your review. We do all we can and take pride in our guests enjoying their stay at our penthouse and it sounds like you enjoyed your holiday. The one problem you had regarding the mattress has already been addressed and it has been replaced. It had been our list for a couple of weeks when we were alerted that it had developed a dip. Your restaurant tips are most welcome.too. We recommend restaurants in our apartment book but always keen to listen to others recommendations too. Many or our guests come back for repeat visits and we hope we will here from you again.
A good base from which to explore
The apartment is clean and reasonably well maintained. Being a corner penthouse it offers excellent views both of the hills and the beach, which is less than 5 minutes from the door. There are a number of eateries within easy walking distance and a large supermarket is five minutes drive away.
We feel that it would be a little cramped for four adults but is a fabulous space for two. The solarium, with splash pool, sun beds, built-in BBQ and pergola was an excellent space, and one that we used extensively through out our stay.
The beach is wide and spacious and is cleaned everyday. We would recommend surf shoes as the waters edge consists of shingle and pebbles. We were aware that the beach was adjacent to a nudist area but was surprised, and disappointed, by how many of the nudists parade up and down the ‘family’ section. We are not prudish but there is a limit!
The complex has a gardener who keeps the area looking trimmed but sadly no one seems to maintain the corridors and stairways, as leaves and day-to-day dirt remained undisturbed during our two week stay. The underground parking seems to be a hidden gem as many regulars insist on struggling to park their vehicles on the road. We counted at most, five cars in the car park on any given night!
Overall, we had a most relaxing holiday and an enjoyable stay in Vera Playa.
The penthouse is located just a few minutes walk from the sandy beaches of Vera Playa and the warm Mediterranean sea.
There are a good selection of restaurants and bars (including 3 beach bars) within a very short walk. There is also a large supermarket, bank and a water park very close by.
Within a short drive is the very pretty fishing villaga of Villaricos.
The coastal resort and fishing town of Garrucha is a five minutes drive away and has a good selection of shops and restaurants specialising in freshly caught seafood and a cuisine to cater for all tastes.
Mojácar Pueblo is 10 mins away, a pretty Spanish town set in the hillside, overlooking the coast and beautiful mountain ranges.
Mojacar Playa is an excellent resort with many shops, bars and restaurants and an excellent night life too.
For golfers, There are five golf courses within a short drive. We would be pleased to help you arrange your tee times, if required
Other Activities include Go-Karting, Bicycle hire and Sea cruises.
