Perfect size for a couple and is exactly what it looks like on the website. The view was fantastic and an added bonus having a fire place for the month of December (when we went). The location, again perfect. Just a stroll into the small town of Bubion... and if you like a short hike up & downhill, the other two villages above and below it are within a couple of miles walking distance.
The place was clean, tidy and we were made to feel very welcome!
The perfect place to stay to feel like you are one of the locals.
Had a great time, thank you
A fantastic time away, with lots of extremely lovely walks, both short and long, with some of the most stunning scenery you can imagine.
A great little casita in an excellent location. You don't need a car - transport is extremely easy by coach from Granada, and there is enough to see in the near vicinity (lovely local museums, a few good places to eat, etc.) to keep you occupied for a good while (we were there for 9 days). Buying a good map is recommended for the walks as the local system of paths can be quite confusing. Definitely recommended! Lee did a great job of looking after us too.

The main attraction of the region is its inspirational beauty, peace and tranquillity. It is situated on the edge of the Sierra Nevada Natural Park and UNESCO Biosphere reserve, so is a spectacular hiking destination. There are walking routes sign posted from the villages. Routes range from short strolls to full-day hikes and two long distance routes. Organised tours are available as well as other activities like horse riding, mountain biking, canoeing, climbing, bird-watching and paragliding. We are also within 1½ hour drive of the Sierra Nevada ski area. There is a good selection of bars and restaurants offering traditional Alpujarran fare.
The two other white Moorish villages of Pampaneira to the south and Capileira to the north are both 2km away and easy to walk to. The larger village of Orgiva is 15 km down the mountain in the valley. Granada and the awe-inspiring Alhambra palace are a 1 hour and 15 minutes drive away.
