Guests have their own garden area and use of the owner’s garden and extensive grounds. Castle Hedingham lies in the valley of the River Colne on the ancient road between Colchester, 20 miles, and Cambridge, 30 miles. Places of interest include the Colne Valley Steam Railway and the market town of Sudbury, 7 miles. There is a bus service into Colchester from the bus stop in the village, about a 10-minute walk away, with one bus change en-route. Shop and pub ½ mile.
