Outdoor enthusiasts are spoilt for choice with superb surfing and windsurfing, sea angling, diving, cycling, horse riding and bird watching. Close by are miles of beautiful white sandy beaches and for walkers, the Kintyre Way runs from Tarbert in the north to Danaverty Bay in the south. There are five unique golf courses in the area, including Machrihanish Dunes and they are known as some of the best courses in Scotland. Nearby daily ferry trips run to many of the smaller isles including Arran, Islay and Gigha. Take a trip via RIB boat to see the seals and puffins around Sanda and the Mull of Kintyre Lighthouse. Campbeltown has a cinema and leisure centre, or visit the Campbeltown whisky distillery where you can partake in “a wee dram”. Beach 219 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.
