2 bedroom accommodation in Kinlochbervie
We loved our stay in this cute little cottage and hope to return again in the summer months.
We loved our stay in this cute little cottage and hope to return again in the summer months.... We stayed over Christmas period and we where surprisingly very warm and cosy as we where abit concerned with just electric heating we would be cold in the winter months but no not at all!
The location is lovely, very remote and quiet (just how I like it!) Beaches local are beautiful and the whole stay was lovely.... I would say it could do with WIFI in the cottage as there is absolutely no mobile phone or internet signal without driving 5 mile down the road. This ment no mobile phone, couldn't watch now tv/netflex etc we brought with us but the cottage supplies plenty of books, a few games and freeview etc so it wasn't the end of the world and made a nice change from constant social media!
I would also of loved a double bed for me and partner as they are all single but was comfy and I'd definitely go back/reccomened, the care taker was very lovely and helpful, made sure we settled in and helped advise local amenities etc. The fact the garden is enclosed is a massive bonus, we have stayed in "dog friendly" cottages before that have no fencing at all making it quiet hard, this was a lovely large enclosed area, dog loved it.
We enjoyed our first stay so much we have come five times more.
We enjoyed our first stay so much we have come five times more. That says it all really. It's a home from home into which we settle so quickly into familiar routines. Owner and housekeeper - the latterliving close by - are both friendly and helpful. It's a privilege to stay here.
Comfortable and warm and in superb location.
Comfortable and warm and in superb location. Felt the kitchen and bathroom could do with upgrading. Kitchen very cluttered with owners stuff, very old frying pans etc - had to shower with curtain sticking to us and towels could do with renewing. Some of the furniture was quite chipped and well used but lots of hot water and heating efficient and fast so could live with other issues.
Great cottage for the outdoor enthusiast or people looking for a quiet break.
Great cottage for the outdoor enthusiast or people looking for a quiet break. Great for a dog. Dont be expecting mod cons - no WiFi or even a phone signal until you get on the hills or into Kinlochbervie. Location makes it.
Location suberp. Out in middle of no where . Sheeps and horses just outside the garden. Just a pity everything is old and sticky. Al cubboards are smelly of mould. Shower a shower curtain which is horrible. The house itself could be very nice with a bit of updating and new pots and pans and watercooker. We expected wifi which was not there. The communication with care taker was nice very friendly and helpfull.
The cottage is in a lovely area close to lovely walks and beaches.
The cottage is in a lovely area close to lovely walks and beaches. It had a nice feel to it.
The kitchen sink and basin were dirty , electric kettle was well passed its use by date.
Washing machine was a model I'd never seen before 😧 But it worked well👍
The lounge was clean and comfortable. 6 single beds split between 2 rooms upstairs, beds and pillows basic but clean.
The local lady who looks after the cottage was friendly and helpful. No wifi or mobile coverage in the area but landline and honesty box.
