My family and I stayed for 5 nights. Me, my wife and our two children (5 and 7yrs) had a great time exploring the great outdoors. The cottage was very comfortable, clean and very warm. Highly recommended. Local shops 5 mins away, lots to do. The cottage owner even helped us rescue a young owl which crash landed. Can’t wait to go back. The cottage is in a great location to enjoy the surrounding area with shops and pubs a short drive away. The outside space is pleasant to sit and socialise and was secure for our dog. The kitchen facilities are great apart from the table which is too low to fit your legs under. Bedrooms are well equipped and comfortable. (Tall people Beware the low sloping ceilings upstairs) . Overall a fabulous cottage and location which we would recommend. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

The cottage is on a busy road! This was not obvious when I booked it and not obvious at all from the photograph. There is a gravel drive (no garden) and a gate which is adequate for small children but had to be barricaded so our medium dog didn’t get out. That said it is a short distance from Barmouth by joining the Mawddach cycle trail and it is a lovely walk. There is a shop in Fairbourne which is also a short walk albeit along the busy road. Loved our holiday, the cottage kitchen is extremely well equipped and the garden furniture is very comfortable. We feel it could be made better with newer duvet covers and sheets, they were a little worn, producing pilling which is not nice. The upstairs slope is really, really slopey, my husband and son struggled to get in and out of their beds. This is shown in the description but you don't quite appreciate the slope from the picture etc. A small issue with one of the bed covers was resolved very quickly by the owner, who was lovely. Overall though we had a great time and we would recommend the cottage, especially after the weather we enjoyed Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo
