The location is simply stunning, as previous reviews have stated there is a small car park opposite where walkers and cyclists seem to go off from, however it doesn't detract from the beautiful view of the woods at all. We were just disappointed that the old school house didn't have many windows looking out in the opposite direction to the hills, perhaps it was designed like that to stop the children being distracted! It would have been nice to have some garden furniture to sit out when the midges weren't around to take in all the views. The house is basic and the water pressure hit and miss, however, it was all clean, the beds were comfy and with so much countryside on the doorstep you didn't need much more. I managed to arrange a Tesco delivery which provided all our supplies on the night we arrived and then Braemar down the road had everything else you could need. We bought a small walking book from a shop there, which covered the area and did almost all of the walks in it including the gorge at Lin of Dee and climbing Morrone. We'll definitely be back. Thank you. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

This was a nice area but the accommodation is very dated, the night storage heaters are not very good, there is no cupboard space for your food whatsoever. The house is opposite a small car park which is not explained in the listings. The house was clean but we did not think it was good value for money, also you can get wifi but no phone signal.Ian the caretaker was lovely but this did not out way are negative experience staying at the house,as there was no frills at all it was a budget facilities property for the price you pay you expect a lot more for your money,in view of other properties we have stayed at and enjoyed this really was outdated.
