Montbretia is a warm and cosy and features a large open-plan living room with both dining and kitchen areas which sleeps four people. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking and eating utensils, as well as a cooker, fridge/freezer, washing machine with tumble dryer, cd player and radio. Your sleeping accommodation includes 1 large double bedroom and 2 single bedrooms. The bathroom has an electric instant-heat shower. All the cosy modern convenience in the midst of the wild western reaches of enchanting Connemara. Rates include oil-fired central heating as well as linen (duvets) and towels. Electricity is metered through a €2 coin meter (approx useage €12 per week). Other facilities include satellite TV, on-site parking, free WiFi wireless internet access, hairdryer, travel cot and highchair (on request), children’s games, books, a large shared garden with furniture, spring well water and a Welcome Pack. A lovely place to stay so near to the Connemara National Park.
A cosy living area with kitchen has everything you need and spotlessly clean. Scones on arrival were a nice touch. Three large bedrooms make this ideal for a family or group.
Letterfrack village nearby with shops and restaurants. Host Anna was very helpful and responsive to messages.
Letterfrack was founded by Quakers in the mid-19th century. The village is 15 km north-east of Clifden (15 minutes drive) on Barnaderg Bay and lies at the head of Ballinakill harbour It is located at the foot of Diamond Hill and boasts stunning scenery.
The village has a supermarket, three pubs which feature nightly traditional Music sessions, three restaurants and also a Furniture College. There are several walking trails and numerous isolated beaches within a ten minute drive.
The two most popular attractions in Connemara are Kylemore Abbey and its Walled Victorian Gardens and Connemara National Park. Kylemore Abbey is a five minutes drive away and Connemara National Park is literally on your doorstep making Letterfrack an ideal base for touring and enjoying all that Connemara has to offer.
