Great place, great view!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I chose this cabin for our get-a-away weekend to see autumn color in the Adirondacks. WOW! This was the place to be!. It was clean, well-stocked, easy to communicate with owners. The view of the lake was fabulous...particularly since we hit peak autumn color. We had a great get-a-away. Saw a loon in the lake on Saturday morning just hanging out nearby. I had my big lens and camera and got some great shots. It was fascinating to read the notebook in the cabin on the history of the Limekiln Lake camps.

Great cabin, and an awesome view of the lake.

  • 5 of 5

Our second year there and we love it. The cabin is very comfortable, and the lake is right outside the door. Situated at the end of a quiet little bay off the main part of the lake. Fire pit is perfectly situated right in front of the lake. Sunsets are AWESOME!!! Hope to be going back there for many years to come. Two things I would address if it were up to me. One would be to have more comfortable furniture. A nicer couch and two comfortable chairs would top this camp off nicely. And make the shower part of the bathroom, instead of having to come outside to get to it. Easy fixes. We have a great time up there when we go.

Owner's Response: Maria & family were perfect travelers - 5 stars all the way around - for some reason our 5 star ratings did not come through VRBO/HomeAway for this traveler!

Perfect fall getaway

  • 5 of 5

I rented this adorable/rustic cabin for a long weekend getaway with my mom and two sisters and it was perfect! We took full advantage of the water from swimming to paddleboarding to catch the best view of the peak fall foliage. We had outdoor fires and played games, watch movies, did puzzles, shopped in Inlet and Old Forge. It was so quiet there in October - just how we like it. There were some hiking trails available right from the house as well. We will definitely be back. The rental process was so easy through Homeaway! Thank you for sharing your home with us!!!!
