Greenwich area just south of the Thames

With advance approval we were moved to a flat overlooking the Thames just a block from the reserved property. Everything worked out well and the 3 bedroom apartment accommodated us well. The location is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of London but close enough to hop on a boat (Thames Clipper) and be in the heart of of London in 30 min. The local convenience store (Select and Save) provided us with all the quality necessities to cook our own meals. We really enjoyed the view from the Emirates Air Line cable car within walking distance. The weather was a bit warm so ceiling fans would have helped us sleep more comfortably. The elevator lifts were serviced by a company called Reliable which didn't live up to their name. The communication and friendly service helped make our stay inviting. Wash cloths and a light top sheet were not provided, this must be the norm in England.

The area is very nice, public transport was great. The apartment was adequate.

From the outside the apartment was rather shabby looking. Inside was clean and simple. My family of 6 slept comfortably. There is a small grocery store across the street and the bus stop was very close. The O2 was only a bus stop away for lots of restaurant options. The city of Greenwich is close by and has plenty to offer, including a wonderful outdoor market. My suggestion would be for the landlord to offer a small packet of comfort items for a small price, including toilet paper, zip lock bags, trash bags, paper products, laundry soap, etc. Buying a new package of each item was costly and wasteful, as we only used 4 trash bags out of the package. If landlord provided (at a cost of course) some of each item it would be economical and helpful. Our biggest hardship was the front door, which always took multiple attempts to open. Some days it took 10 to 15 minutes just to open the door. And please be aware this location is over an hour from Heathrow airport ! We hired a driver because we had a large amount of luggage, and multiple transfers would have been needed on purpose license transport. Getting to the city took some time, but was not difficult or unpleasant. The airport was a struggle. This was not a bad lodging at all, but was not at all luxurious or "homey".

Lots of room

Great apartment away from the noise of downtown London, but with easy access to get there. The apartment is a 10-15 minute walk along a pedestrian only path from the underground and O2 which is filled with restaurants.

Wonderful Apartment

Very nice apartment. There were 8 of us and accommodated us very well. Apartment clean spacious and modern, very nice! Bus stop just outside the apartment and North Greenwich station just 5 mins walk or 1 bus stop away. O2 Arena also nearby with lots of restaurants. Only complaint would be the 2 sofa beds in the apartment were very uncomfortable :( all other beds were fine, Otherwise perfect!

A home away from home !

We were having a school friends reunion after 15 years and 7 of us were coming to London from different parts of the world. This third floor apartment was our refuge and has added to the unforgettable experience of this holiday. It was immaculate, with all modern day provisions, extremely comfortable for the lot of us - even the bunk beds and sofa beds. The apartment is beautifully light & airy with a rather charming balcony. The location near the North Greenwich tube with a bus stop just a minute away was simply perfect. The local grocer across the road opened for long hours & was extremely convenient as one of us had severe food restrictions requiring fresh produce - we didn't have to lug groceries from afar. But the most convenient & helpful aspect of this property are the people managing it. One cannot praise them enough for their helpfulness, thoughtful suggestions and contribution that made this a holiday of a lifetime for us.

The nearest underground station is North Greenwich on the Jubilee Line (an easy and safe 8 minutes walk or one stop by bus from the apartment). Nearby Historic Greenwich is one of the most popular areas of London (visit www.greenwichwhs.org.uk for information on the area).

The location is perfect for exploring all of London's attractions - only 15 minutes to the very centre of London (Westminster) direct by underground.
