|Minimum Stay||5 - 7 nights|
The house has retained many of its period features and is tastefully decorated with the mixture of antique and modern furniture. It is very light and thoughtfully arranged.
The owner is a gourmet cook, so the kitchen has every device and appliance. There is an American style BBQ gas grill in its own outdoor area. There are 3 double bedrooms one of which has twin beds which can also be joined to make a king sized bed. The sitting room also has an 'L' shaped sofabed which can convert into a double bed if needed. There are three bathrooms, one of which is en suite. The upstairs terrace seats 8 and is very sunny.
Quiet, centrally located with quick access to all transportation'
I am not sure where to begin to describe how fantastic this home is for a short stay or extended stay in London. My family (sometimes up to 7 of us) stayed at this special place for a month. The location is perfect with easy access to everything. Unfortunately I did not get to meet Bill and Christine who are the owners, but all pre-arrival contacts with them were very responsive and helpful. I can't say enough about Christine's niece Kizzy, who was our contact while we were there. She was there to greet us when we arrived, answered all texts about any information we needed promptly, and was always ready with wonderful recommendations for activities, restaurants, etc. As other reviews have mentioned, the house is in a quiet area of Knightsbridge, but turn the corner and get your morning cup of latte, grocery stores, the tube, buses, and all the shopping you could possibly imagine. If you are considering a trip to London I can't over state how much you should seriously consider staying here. I would love to return in the future.
I recently rented this great home for a week. Kezia (and Bill) were kind enough to allow us to arrive early as our flight came into London early that day. Kezia met us at the house and showed us around and provided lots of great info. The house is lovely, spacious (especially for London) and is in a great location. The house was clean and tidy. Did not cook much while there...but the kitchen was well-stocked with dishes, pots, pans, etc. Kezia was easily accessible if we had any questions. I highly recommend this property!! I will definitely stay here again if my plans take me back to London for a period of time.
We rented this lovely property for a family Thanksgiving getaway in London. Kezia met us at the property when we arrived and gave some terrific recommendations on local restaurants, shopping and sites to visit and then even checked in with us during our visit to make sure everything was to our liking. She even saw to it that the dining room table was beautifully set for a family thanksgiving dinner (although we eventually just decided to eat out). Why cook with so many wonderful restaurants nearby!
The property is as advertised. It's located just steps from Harrod's and Knightsbridge shopping, restaurants and museums. The Knightsbridge Tube station is less than a five minute walk, and there's even a taxi stand even closer with London taxis always at the ready to take you exploring. We couldn't have asked for more and hope to return soon.
Thank you Kezia! Hope to see you again soon.
Our family of 6 stayed for 10 days and it was wonderful. A superb, well maintained property in an unbeatable location. As everyone else has already said the owners are very responsive and easy to deal with. We had our 2 granddaughters with us, ages 3 and 6, and it was an easy walk for them to the tube stations, Hyde Park, and the nearby museums. I have absolutely no reservations about giving this property my highest recommendation.
This is the place to stay in Knightsbridge. Everything is right there. Bill is great and easy to work with, and Kezia is fantastic. Anything we needed, from stocking the refrigerator, to calling and scheduling cabs, was done and without hassle. The house I beautiful, quiet and has everything you need after a full day out. The tube is right up the street, and there are hundreds, if not thousands of places to get something to eat or drink. Hyde Park was perfect to take our toddlers. We couldn't have had a better time and we had four adults and two 21 month olds. If you have children our age, be aware there are a lot of stairs. This didn't bother us as we have them at our house, and the girls have mastered them...but otherwise...you can't do better. Thanks Bill!
My 4 children (aged 11 to 6) and I stayed for 5 fantastic days in London. The house has the most incredible location, near the park, the museums, shopping, supermarkets, etc and is located in a calm neighborhood. The owner Bill was extremely helpful and welcoming. We could not gave rented a more perfect house for us.
Georgian Townhouse in Knightsbridge, central London. Moments from Harrods's in one direction and Hyde Park in another. Surrounded by some of London's top restaurants. There is also a local family Pizza Express and lower cost restaurants.
This rare central London house has three double bedrooms and a sitting room with a double sofa bed and three bathrooms. It is in an area known as Knightsbridge Village with period houses from 1800 which have a conservation order on them so that the area keeps its genuine period atmosphere.
For sightseers and shoppers Knightsbridge is the centre of luxury shopping with all the main designers' shops in Sloane Street, 5 minutes walk away as well as Harvey Nichols and Harrods less than 2 minutes from the house. King's Road is a 10 minute walk or five minute bus ride away or if you are looking for more general high street shopping there is Kensington High Street 7 minutes bus ride away or Oxford Street with the famous Selfridge's department store 10 minutes busride ( or a lovely 25 minute walk across the park) in the other direction.
West End theatres, Covent Garden, the Royal Opera House, are a ten minute bus ride away.
The Victoria & Albert Museum, National History Museum and Science Museum are less than 5 minutes walk away and the Royal Academy and Tate art Galleries a short taxi or bus ride from this lovely house.
Buckingham Palace is a 10 minute walk away and another 10 minutes further you will arrive at Trafalgar Square or the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben.
This really is the best part of London to be based for a combination of being central to all the attractions yet with the old London atmosphere.
