The house has retained many of its period features and is tastefully decorated with the mixture of antique and modern furniture. It is very light and thoughtfully arranged.

The owner is a gourmet cook, so the kitchen has every device and appliance. There is an American style BBQ gas grill in its own outdoor area. There are 3 double bedrooms one of which has twin beds which can also be joined to make a king sized bed. The sitting room also has a sofabed which is a comfortable double bed if needed. There are three bathrooms, one of which is en suite. The upstairs terrace seats 8 and is very sunny.

Parking is available to residents in this part of London. There are parking meters adjacent . We are very close to two underground stations - Knightsbridge and South Kensington to to 9 different bus routes so transport is never a problem. There are also bicycles to hire, known as Boris Bikes named after the Lord Mayor of London. There is a row of these bikes less than a minute from the house.

Quiet and convenient London getaway!

Our family of 4 adults visited from October 18th to 26th 2017. We loved it! The house was quiet yet close to Harrod's and the Kensington Tube stop, had a fully equipped kitchen and ample seating for dining, a working washer and dryer (yay!) and good wifi. There were multiple grocery store choices nearby and so much within walking distance. Would definitely recommend. Kezia was so helpful in arranging extra transportation for us. Thanks again!

Great Location. Plenty of room. Would book again

Great location close to 2 tube stops. Very close to Harrod's but on a side street 2 blocks away so very quiet. Plenty of room, great kitchen and dining area. We had a great time with 3 kids and 4 adults for the week. Would book again.

Well-appointed house near Harrods in Knightsbridge

Our family of 4 is leaving today. We've been here for over a week and it has been a lovely stay. Kezia, the owner's niece was here to greet us warmly and to provide a tour of the house and it's amenities. As an added touch, she left behind fresh flowers and a few basics in the refrigerator, including a bottle of champagne.

The home:

It's cozy and well-appointed with 2 bedrooms and a parlor with a pull out sofa bed. The master is mid-way up the many, but short flights of stairs with an ensuite bathroom. The bed is a US-sized Queen and was basically comfortable for my husband who is 6' 2" tall. There are televisions in basically every sleeping space and common room (if that's important to you) and the Wifi is some of the best we've encountered in our travels.

The washer/dryer is convenient and easy to use (as is the washing machine). On our first night, one of our daughter's accidentally turned off the switch in their bathroom that controlled the water pressure. As soon as I was in touch with Kezia (and Bill, the owner), they helped fixed the problem right away and we were restored to acceptable water pressure.

I should note that our daughters are ages 9 and 13, so there was no concern with the stairs, but for those with infants or toddlers (or just a general concern for stairs), you should discuss further with Bill.

The location:

This home is located in a superb location: on a quiet street, just around the corner from Brompton Road, and 2 minutes from Harrods, supermarkets, drugstores, coffee shops aplenty. There are also a couple of Tube stops less than a 5-8 minute walk away.

Overall, just what we had hoped for and would highly recommend this home to others and would stay here again on future visits.

Perfect home and location!

We had wonderful week at this gorgeous townhouse in Knightsbridge. We were each able to have our own private bedroom space and still join each other for meals in the kitchen/dining room. We even made a full Thanksgiving dinner! The access to public transportation is perfect. You are right in the heart of everything but on a safe quiet street. We went to Harrod's multiple times since it was so close. We highly recommend this property to anyone who wants to have a fantastic home base to explore all that London has to offer.

Fantastic location for exploring London

5 levels of beautiful town home located in the heart of Knightsbridge. Owner and manager are very helpful and take good care of the property. Our group of 5 had fun gathering in the

living room, spacious kitchen and the patio....and we space to ourselves for quiet time.

Georgian Townhouse in Knightsbridge, central London. Moments from Harrods's in one direction and Hyde Park in another. Surrounded by some of London's top restaurants. There is also a local family Pizza Express and lower cost restaurants.

This rare central London house has three double bedrooms and a sitting room with a double sofa bed and three bathrooms. It is in an area known as Knightsbridge Village with period houses from 1800 which have a conservation order on them so that the area keeps its genuine period atmosphere.

For sightseers and shoppers Knightsbridge is the centre of luxury shopping with all the main designers' shops in Sloane Street, 5 minutes walk away as well as Harvey Nichols and Harrods less than 2 minutes from the house. King's Road is a 10 minute walk or five minute bus ride away or if you are looking for more general high street shopping there is Kensington High Street 7 minutes bus ride away or Oxford Street with the famous Selfridge's department store 10 minutes busride ( or a lovely 25 minute walk across the park) in the other direction.

West End theatres, Covent Garden, the Royal Opera House, are a ten minute bus ride away.

The Victoria & Albert Museum, National History Museum and Science Museum are less than 5 minutes walk away and the Royal Academy and Tate art Galleries a short taxi or bus ride from this lovely house.

Buckingham Palace is a 10 minute walk away and another 10 minutes further you will arrive at Trafalgar Square or the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben.

This really is the best part of London to be based for a combination of being central to all the attractions yet with the old London atmosphere.
