This ancient residence has always belonged to my family, which has preserved it and kept it intact over time, since 1620, when the most remote traces were found. In the last five generations the house has always been handed down from woman to woman; among them it belonged to the Countess Camilla Caterina Melli who, defying the contrariety of her parents and the Curia, in 1818 secretly married Vincenzo Grassi, a member of a non-noble family living in Viano. Faced with the accomplished fact, the Bishop of Reggio Emilia blessed the marriage from which my progenitors Matilda, Elvira, my grandmother Emilia, who had two daughters, my mother Annamaria and my aunt Lisetta, were born.
From 2015 I continued the tradition becoming the current owner, and then I began a long process of scientific restoration to bring the buildings of the village back to their former glory.
I decided to open my home to travelers curious to discover a magical place, full of history and traditions, where you can immerse yourself and feel a bit 'of it.
