With a private hot tub, private outdoor lounge area with firepit for s'mores, full-size pool/ping pong table, six Smart TVs, Playstation 4 with games, SONOS whole-house sound system inside and out, gourmet kitchen, two living areas, three fireplaces, and super easy access to Winter Park Resort and Village, there's plenty to keep your group entertained. This stunning, luxurious, well-managed property (just check out our reviews!) is THE location to create special memories with friends and family.

Corporate groups are welcome - with 12 separate beds, we have hosted several company retreats.

LOCATION

Base Camp on Jane Creek is the most coveted location in Winter Park - very large properties near the Resort and beautiful, newer Village (1/4 mile) but away from the crowds. Take a 10-minute stroll, ski-in/ski-out, or utilize the free shuttle in ski season which stops at Breeze Ski Rental 150 yards away to zip back and forth to the Resort, Village, and Town of Winter Park.

Parking couldn't be easier, with an oversized, heated one-car garage plus driveway parking for two additional cars and nearby overflow parking.

Base Camp is two miles (a 10 minute drive) from the Town of Winter Park with restaurants, shops, and two very nice, large grocery stores.

ACCESS

Our property is equipped with an automated keypad at the front door, allowing secure, easy access at check-in and throughout your stay. There is no need to check in at a separate location - just show up and start enjoying your vacation. We even allow direct garage access with a separate exterior garage keypad throughout your stay, which is highly unusual in this area and very convenient especially when it's cold.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

Household essentials are all provided, including luxury bed linens and fluffy white towels; separate thick, oversized spa towels; laundry, dish, dishwasher and hand soaps; paper towels, TP, trash bags and tissues; and even full-sized pump bottles of quality shower amenities - body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. There is plenty of everything to last throughout your stay.

The Wolf/Sub-Zero kitchen is fully equipped with gadgets, tools, and appliances including crockpot, toaster, blender, mixer, microwave, warming drawer, and two full-size coffee makers; lots of cookware, dishes, glassware and serving platters/bowls and even things like Baggies, Tupperware, and foil; salt, pepper, oil, and spices. We visit our second home frequently so we keep it well-maintained and nicely equipped.

This vacation rental is professionally cleaned and maintained, follows all local and state tax rules, and is fully licensed by the Town of Winter Park. You can book with confidence knowing that the rates, images and details in our listing are 100% accurate. We have excellent local maintenance/housekeeping staff right in Winter Park to take care of any issue or need that may arise during your stay. Your reservation total includes all applicable taxes, cleaning fees, and refundable deposit.

Our Concierge Guide/House Manual contains everything you need to know about the property, recommended restaurants and activities throughout the year, where to rent equipment/buy lift tickets, etc. It can be accessed online anytime after booking, is frequently updated, and is loved by guests!

SKI-IN/SKI-OUT DETAIL

To ski out, walk approximately 80 yards on a maintained, snow-packed hiking trail which is right next to our home. Head up some stairs and you will be on the green/easy Corridor ski trail. Click into your skis and ski approximately two minutes on Corridor directly to the base of Winter Park Resort.

To ski in, take Corridor run (some blue/intermediate runs necessary to get to Corridor) to the top of the stairs. Click out of your skis, walk down the stairs, and walk approximately 80 yards on the maintained, snow-packed trail to get directly to our home, which is right next to the private trail.

Please note that ski-in/ski-out access is not designed for beginners or very young children - they should take the free shuttle (see "getting around" section below).

Be aware that properties in the Bridger's Cache neighborhood near the base of Mary Jane (the only other neighborhood with large ski-in/ski-out homes) do not offer any type of shuttle service and are a long drive from the base of Winter Park Resort, where nearly all of the green/easy runs are and where all the ski lessons are held. Beginners and most children will not be happy at Mary Jane, which is loaded with moguls and designed for expert skiers. So if you are considering renting in Bridger's Cache, which is a 1/4 mile walk from the base of Mary Jane in ski boots, and have beginners and/or small children in your group who cannot ski in/out (because blue/intermediate runs are necessary to get to the ski-in), it's going to mean driving your car back to Highway 40 (be sure to consult a map) to get back and forth to the family-friendly Winter Park side of the Resort.

GETTING AROUND

During ski season, the Town of Winter Park runs a free shuttle via different routes between some local properties and the Resort/Village. The one servicing our property (the "green line" route) is awesome!

1) It runs every 15-20 minutes, the most frequent line in their system.

2) It stops at Breeze Ski Rental, which is 150 yards from our front door.

3) The green line shuttle drops you right at the Ski Resort base without having to haul your ski gear, while wearing ski boots, all through the Village (the green line is the only line that doesn't stop at the far end of the Village).

4) The green line only serves a couple of developments so it's not hauling you all over town to get to the resort. Guests love our shuttle service.

5) From 6:00 pm to 2:00 am the shuttle can take your group to any of the popular spots in Winter Park or Fraser and back home. We provide our guests detailed instructions on exactly how to access the free shuttle system.

The town of Winter Park is about 2 miles (10 minute car ride) away - it's a typical ski town with restaurants, some shopping, and a large, nice Safeway for groceries.

WINTER ACTIVITIES

Skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, ice skating, sledding, dog sledding, multiple tubing parks, fat biking, sleigh rides, and snowmobiling (all availability subject to weather conditions).

SUMMER ACTIVITIES

The Resort base is turned into an Adventure Park every day from early June through Labor Day (and then weekends only through the rest of September) with an Alpine coaster, putting course, human maze, climbing wall, and Trestle Bike Park mountain biking (including lessons and rental of all gear). We are within easy summertime walking distance of the Resort (1/4 mile) and the beautiful newer Village with its casual restaurants, couple of shops, and even a small day spa for a massage. Hiking is right out our back door, with acres and acres of National Forest land to explore, in addition to many other hiking trails throughout the area. There are three golf courses within a 20 minute drive, with award-winning Pole Creek Golf Club being our favorite. There is also summer tubing, mountain biking, road biking, horseback riding, river rafting, and fishing. A brand new outdoor amphitheater in downtown Winter Park hosts regular summer concerts and has a very large kids play area with climbing wall and skate park.

YEAR-ROUND ACTIVITIES

There is a large, new all-indoor "Grand Park" rec center with basketball, gym, climbing wall, and giant pool with slide and lazy river right in Winter Park.

About Linda M

Our family recently relocated from California to Boulder and we couldn't be happier with our new hometown. We wanted to purchase a close-in getaway (it's SO much closer to Boulder/Denver than nearly every other ski resort - no Eisenhower Tunnel/Vail Pass nightmare drive) that we could share with our extended family and friends. We are committed to the environment (Boulder is rubbing off on us!) which is why we replaced nearly every light bulb with LEDs and offer full-sized shower amenities instead of those annoying little plastic bottles.

We like to spend our precious vacation time in 5-star hotels, so we have replicated that environment in our second home. As a professional Interior Designer, it was great fun to transform this property into a Mountain Modern retreat. We hope that you enjoy Winter Park Ski Haus as much as we do!

Beautiful home with everything a family needs. Close and convenient to amenities

Perfect stay for our group (two families -10 people total). Plenty of room, sleeping accommodations were great (kids loved the bunk beds) and the heated floors made the home very cozy. Ski rental is a short, convenient walk right down the road. Ski in/ski out convenient for older children (ours were too young/inexperienced), but the bus stop to the base is a short walk which our kids could do. We hope to make this an annual event!

Exceptional!

This is a beautiful well maintained property in a beautiful wooded setting that is exactly as described. Our party of 12 adults was very comfortable and we prepared all of our meals in the very well-appointed kitchen. We could not be happier with the experience. Everything was clean and orderly when we arrived and the owner Linda was available and responsive to any questions or concerns. The ski-in/ski-out was convenient and so was the shuttle. Breeze ski rental has an on-site location that is also convenient. Highly recommend!

Great property

Clean, new, great amenities.

Couple of suggestions - minor - softer toilet paper.

Should be clear that skiing in you need to be able to at least do a blue square. Had a 5 year old that had to be picked up

Overall great experience, very responsive owner. Beautiful house.

What an amazing stay. I can’t say enough about the perfection of this house from design to comfort.

In addition, Linda was so very accommodating and easy to reach. We made this a family trip to continue the tradition of making memories with our children as they are all teenagers and time is short. This certainly was one of the those trips.

Beautiful Nountain Oasis

I highly recommend this Beautiful Mountain home. My family has stayed here two years in a row and the accommodations have been perfect both times. The setting is perfect just foot steps from Winter Park Resort while still being very private. The great room with the huge windows invites the outdoors in while staying warm by the inviting stone fireplace. The owners have been very accommodating and available for any questions throughout our stay. Wish I could stay all winter!
