We are honored to be featured as a HomeAway/VRBO "Premiere Partner" (by invitation only based on the outstanding experience we provide to our guests) and we are the only home in Winter Park included in HomeAway's Luxury Portfolio!

Freshly remodeled top to bottom and loaded with the highest quality furnishings, linens, and amenities, this home is one of the nicest mountain properties in Colorado. This is THE location to create special memories with friends and family!

The home is beautifully decorated for the holidays throughout December with a full-size lighted/decorated Christmas tree, lighted garlands, etc.

Corporate groups are welcome - with 12 separate beds, we have hosted several company retreats.

LOCATION

Base Camp on Jane Creek is the most coveted location in Winter Park - very close to the Resort and beautiful, newer Village (1/4 mile) but away from the crowds. Take a 10-minute stroll, ski-in/ski-out, or utilize the free shuttle in ski season which stops at Breeze Ski Rental, 150 yards away to get back and forth to the Resort and Village.

Base Camp is two miles (a 10 minute drive) from the Town of Winter Park with restaurants, shops, and a very nice, large Safeway grocery store.

SLEEPING ACCOMMODATIONS

Total of 4 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, comfortably sleeps up to 16 guests with a maximum of 14 adults.

ACCESS

Our property is equipped with an automated keypad at the front door, allowing secure, easy access to your property at check-in and throughout your stay. There is no need to check in at a separate location. We even allow direct garage access with a separate exterior garage keypad throughout your stay, which is highly unusual in this area and very convenient especially when it's cold.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

Household essentials are all provided, including very high quality sheets and fluffy white towels; separate thick spa towels; laundry, dish, dishwasher and hand soaps; paper towels, TP, and tissues; and even full-sized pump bottles of quality shower amenities - body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. There is plenty of everything to last throughout your stay.

The Wolf/Sub-Zero kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessary gadgets, tools, and appliances including crockpot, toaster, blender, mixer and muffin tins; two coffee makers; lots of cookware, dishes, glassware and serving platters/bowls and even things like Baggies, Tupperware, and foil; salt, pepper, oil, and spices. We visit our second home frequently so we keep it well-maintained and nicely equipped.

This vacation rental is professionally maintained, follows all local and state tax rules, and is fully licensed by the Town of Winter Park. Your reservation total includes all applicable taxes, cleaning fees, and refundable deposit. Our House Manual contains everything you need to know about the property, recommended restaurants and activities, where to rent equipment and buy lift tickets, etc., is detailed and frequently updated, and can be accessed online anytime after booking.

SKI-IN/SKI-OUT DETAIL

To ski out, walk approximately 80 yards on a maintained, snow-packed hiking trail which is right next to our home. Head up some stairs and you will be on the Corridor ski trail (this is a green/easy run). Click into your skis and ski approximately two minutes directly to the base of Winter Park Resort.

To ski in, take Corridor run (some blue/intermediate runs necessary to get to Corridor) to the top of the stairs. Click out of your skis, walk down the stairs, and walk approximately 80 yards on the maintained, snow-packed trail to get directly to our home, which is right next to the private trail.

Please note that ski-in/ski-out access is not designed for beginners or very young children - they should take the free shuttle (see "getting around" section below).

GETTING AROUND

During ski season, the Town of Winter Park runs a free shuttle via different routes between local properties and the Resort/Village. The one servicing our property (the "green line" route) is awesome!

1) It runs every 20 minutes - the most frequent line in their system.

2) It stops at Breeze Ski Rental, which is 150 yards from our home. No stairs are involved to get to the shuttle stop.

3) The green line shuttle drops you at the ski base (lifts, ticket office) without having to haul your ski gear, while wearing ski boots, all through the Village (the green line is the only line that stops anywhere near the Resort ski base). The Village is next to the Resort if you want to shuttle over for a meal, late night drink, or even a massage.

4) The green line only serves a couple of developments so it's not hauling you all over town to get to the resort. Guests love our shuttle service.

5) From 6:00 pm to 2:00 am the shuttle can take you to any of the popular spots in Winter Park or Fraser and back home. We provide our guests detailed instructions on how to access the free shuttle system.

The town of Winter Park is about 2 miles (10 minute car ride) away - it's a typical ski town with restaurants, some shopping, and a large, nice Safeway for groceries.

WINTER ACTIVITIES

Skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, ice skating, sledding, dog sledding, multiple tubing parks, fat biking, sleigh rides, snowmobiling (all availability subject to weather conditions). There is also a large, new indoor "Grand Park" rec center with basketball, gym, climbing wall, and giant pool with slide and lazy river. Downtown Winter Park has a beautiful new outdoor concert venue, kids' play structure, and skate park.

SUMMER ACTIVITIES

The Resort base is turned into an Adventure Park every day from June 10 through Labor Day (and then weekends only through September) with an Alpine coaster, putting course, human maze, climbing wall, and Trestle Bike Park mountain biking (including lessons and rental of all gear). We are within easy walking distance of the Resort (1/4 mile) and the beautiful newer Village with its casual restaurants, couple of shops, and even a day spa for a great massage. Hiking is right out our back door, with acres and acres of National Forest land to explore, in addition to many other hiking trails throughout the area.

Within the greater Winter Park location, there are three local golf courses within a 20 minute drive with award-winning Pole Creek Golf Club being the most notable. There is also summer tubing, mountain biking, road biking, horseback riding, river rafting, fishing, and a large, new indoor "Grand Park" rec center with basketball, gym, climbing wall, and giant pool with slide and lazy river. Downtown Winter Park has a beautiful new outdoor concert venue, kids' play structure, and skate park.

OTHER

Be aware that in the low season (May, September, October, early November) there are limited restaurants and other attractions open, just like in any ski town in Colorado. If you are looking for a quiet getaway without crowds, that's the time to visit. If you want more action and activities, please visit during any other month when there is plenty to do.

Full concierge services are available at extra cost including grocery delivery/kitchen stocking, private chef services, ski equipment rental delivery, childcare, private transportation to/from Denver International Airport, and activity planning. Just ask!

About Linda M

Our family recently relocated from California to Boulder and we couldn't be happier with our new hometown. We wanted to purchase a close-in getaway (it's SO much closer to Boulder/Denver than nearly every other ski resort - no Eisenhower Tunnel/Vail Pass nightmare drive) that we could share with our extended family and friends. We are committed to the environment (Boulder is rubbing off on us!) which is why we replaced nearly every light bulb with LEDs and offer full-sized shower amenities instead of those annoying little plastic bottles.

We like to spend our precious vacation time in 5-star hotels, so we have replicated that environment in our second home. As an Interior Designer, it was great fun to transform this property into a Mountain Modern retreat. We hope that you enjoy Winter Park Ski Haus as much as we do!

This house definitely earned five stars!

Everything you could need for a luxury vacation from the fireplace that starts with a click of a button to the jacuzzi that is heated and ready to soak in. We were surprised by the many extras like a welcome basket of coffee and snacks, first aid kit, many towels, shampoo and conditioner, body wash, etc. We would love to come back again!

Family Anniversary Celebration

The house was outstanding and met our every need. Our adult children and grandchildren found the home very comfortable, in a great location and with all the amenities anyone could want. We all enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit and especially the whole house music system. We were close to the village where the children played and just a short drive to town to enjoy the many restaurants. We cooked at home, as well, and found the kitchen to be completely stocked with cookware and utensils. The owner Linda was available to answer any questions that we had. What a beautiful house to spend a special week.

Amazing!!!!

This house was truly amazing! It came stocked with everything you could need, the sound system was awesome and it is just absolutely gorgeous. Linda was very helpful )I probably bothered her a bit too much). We felt very at home and loved falling asleep listening to the stream in the back . Cannot recommend this place enough!

This home was everything promised and more! It was welcoming and very comfortable. Linda was amazing to work with and answered all of our questions. The kitchen was perfect for our large group...it had everything you needed for meal prep! The beds were comfy. I highly recommend this home!

Outstanding home and amazing response & info from owner!!!!!

Our family (5 adults and 6 kids) enjoyed this property tremendously! And it was literally next door to the Alpine Slide Park. We drove a 1/4 mile to trademark dr and parked to start our hike on the gorgeous Fraser River Trail (perfect for families). We would love to return next year as well. Linda was amazing, so responsive to all questions, and her home is huge, beautiful, and incredibly well equipped. And check out was the best! Just leave it neat and clean, put dishes in the washer, and they take out the trash etc etc etc. Previous rentals we've had we must do all of the clean up, trash drop, etc. We LOVED the hot tub; it was a huge hit. Roasting marshmallows over the firepit was terrific! We used the grill for burgers and steaks, we cook alot and the kitchen was magnificent! The master suite #1 was so incredible, spacious and surrounded by windows that overlooked only forest and this wonderful stream that roared with water flowing. We slept with the windows open, it was so comfortable & sounded so relaxing. It was truly luxurious too; full size bath amenities (no need to bring your own), and a wonderful soaking tub, double sided fireplace (in bedroom and right next to the soaking tub!) There was a 2nd master suite (beautiful too!) and the lower bedrooms (1 huge bunk room with pull out trundles makes 6 beds!) and the last bedroom has 2 wonderful double beds. The game room with ping pong and pool table as well as PS4; huge hit, used it all the time. Grand living room with huge fireplace and massive floor to ceiling windows was so inviting and comfortable for a huge group (very large wrap around sofa). We loved and used the in house Sonos music system the entire time. I cannot say enough about this house and owner. I think we used every inch of this house and all amenities it had to offer. Outstanding, the best home we have ever rented!
