A lovely place to spend your holidays in the capital city of famous Luberon in Provence.

Located in a particularly quiet and green environment, the Saignon and Bonnieux apartements are the ideal starting point to visit the hilltop villages of Bonnieux, Gordes, Saignon, Menerbes, and Lacoste...all classified as «most beautiful villages in France' ,while taking advantage of being within walking distance from the charming old city center of Apt .

Located on ground floor and built on hillside, they keep a nice and cool temperature even in hot summertime.

These cozy apartments were fully remodeled in 2012: new bathroom with shower, fully equipped kitchen and brand new furniture.

At your disposal in the property: private terraces with outdoor furniture and barbecue, large planted garden and parking space.

Ideally situated, warm and compact

Property within walking distance of town with good bakery nearby.

Slight criticism is there is no shower curtain which means the floor was constantly wet and hard to keep clean.

No basics in there such as salt or pepper or cooking oil.

Sofa bed is quite noisy and not that comfortable.

Apart from this it is value for money.

Owner's Response: We are pleased to read from you the apartment is good value and hope to welcome you a again in Provence. Unfortunately at the time you visited us, the shower curtain was ordered but not yet installed. This will be done by mid April 2016 . We apologize for the inconvenience. Sorry for salt and pepper, but on the other hand, bed and bath linen are provided for free, as well as WIFI, closed parking space on the property, and full cleaning up at the end of the stay. It is my understanding you chose to sleep in the sofa bed and not in the king size bed in the bedroom. Sofa bed is more adapted to a child than to an adult.

Great Location and Huge Beautiful Back Garden

I normally only give very high reviews because I go by the reviews I see before I book. Unfortunately, during our 2 week stay, we did not find this accommodation up to our expectations.

First the positive aspects:

1 Location was great for walking to the market in the town of Apt and for leaving the town to go on day trips;

2. The price was very good for what you get;

3. The back patio and wonderful garden area were superb;

and the Parking was private and very secure.

Now the negative aspects:

1.The Apartment is long and narrow with no windows except the full length window front door ;

2. The Apartment was very damp with no ventilation except by opening the front door which allowed flies and mosquitos in;

3.The only closet in the apartment at the rear, leaked water when it rained and mold was very evident;

4. The people who managed the property were very nice but spoke only english so when there was a problem with the WIFI the man did not know how to correct the problem. The lower apartment we were in used a WIFI "extender" to enhance the signal from the router located above but he did not seem to be aware of it. It worked great for 4 days then never again. If I had known where it was located a simple reboot probably would have corrected it. So if you have any problem you better speak fluent french. Our limited French was not good enough;

5. If a fire occurred and you were not in the front of the apartment it might be impossible to get out this only access/exit door;and

6. The Apartment and Patio were not very clean on our arrival. My wife and I spent the first hour cleaning the patio and apartment upper corners of dust and spider webs. The front door glass had to be cleaned both sides so we could appreciate the view of the patio and garden.

Well that's our very honest and pointed review for the time we were there.

Owner's Response: I appreciate your positive comments , and I thank you for that. Regarding the negative points , as we exchanged several e mails in english language before you came , I am really sorry you did not think about contacting me at the right beginning of your 2 week stay. Regarding troubles such as WIFI connexion, only french speaking assistance , dust …it would have been easy and a real pleasure for me to implement immediate corrective actions by translating your comments to my french speaking local representatives . Regarding the humidity issue, I wish to remind you arrived at the time when the equivalent of 2 months of torrential rain poured down on the region in just one or 2 days. All international papers related this exceptional situation that occur maybe only once in 50 years . As the house is built along a hill, the rainfall poured down all around. Now ,the situation is back to normal, the apartment is dry and appreciated by present clients who even intend to come back again. Regarding the patio , apartment and window, I apologize if they were not clean enough. The weather conditions might also be partly responsible, but in any case, extra cleaning could have been immediately performed for free if pointed out to me over the phone at the time you noticed it. Maybe the exceptional cloudy conditions also made the apartment darker than usual, but it is really the first time I receive complaints about the lack of luminosity.

Région du Lubéron magnifique

L'appartement convient parfaitement pour 3 personnes.

Bien situé, proche du centre ville d'APT (à 300m du marché du samedi matin), mais donnant côté jardin, donc très calme.

Apt est au centre de beaucoup d'activités, visite, balade, randonnée.

Je conseille vivement.

Très bien avec le calme et une terrasse bien ombragée

L'appartement est très bien l'équipement il est parfait pour le peu de temps que l'on passe dedans ! et oui c'est la région qu'il faut découvrir !! l'accueil de Malika est très chaleureux . Je conseille vivement l'endroit si vous souhaitez êtres au calme proches de tous les commerces de plus la situation permet une multitudes de visites en particulier des villages magnifiques proches donc sans grands trajets , la circulation à Apt et alentours est très fluides , la région est vraiment magnifique et pour les randonneurs c'est vraiment parfait . Appartement correct

Les points forts: appartement propre,frais malgré la forte chaleur, bien situé à 10 min à pied du centre d'Apt. Terrasse et jardin agréables.Equipement correct également.

Points faibles: Le réfrigérateur est petit , en effet quand il fait très chaud il est difficile de faire tenir plusieurs choses et il ne refroidit pas beaucoup. Le clic clac dans la pièce est très inconfortable, il serait certainement souhaitable de le changer. La literie est correcte sans plus.Il est regrettable qu'il n'y ait pas de fenêtre dans le reste de l'appartement, la porte fenêtre seule fait office d'ouverture. Dernier point: super calme pour se reposer.

Owner's Response: Nous sommes ravis que vous ayez apprécié la fraicheur , la propreté , l'équipement ,l''emplacement et le calme de l'appartement.Sur les points de critiques que vous soulevez , j'ai quelques commentaires: Le réfrigérateur est un modèle sous plan de travail ,adapté pour la taille et la capacité d'accueil de l'appartement . Il comporte de surcroit un compartiment congélateur très appréciable. La literie est récente et de qualité ,que nous avons choisie plutôt ferme afin de répondre aux attentes de la majorité de nos clients. Nous sommes désolés que son confort ne vous ait pas convenu. Quant au clic clac, il est destiné à un couchage occasionnel ( ou pour un enfant) et en aucun cas à un usage intensif.Le lit en 160x200 est à disposition pour un usage quotidien. Enfin, la présence d'une seule baie vitrée permet d'obtenir la fraicheur que vous avez appréciée en période caniculaire , tout en apportant un éclairage suffisant , notamment dans la partie séjour.
