About Linda Jones
We have been together over 20 years now and are lucky to have a daughter, Lucy. We have always enjoyed travelling, and we realised that as parents, the best quality self catering accommodation was for us better than a stay in a hotel. Over the years we have found the best and worst experiences of staying in owners properties and we have drawn on all this history to ensure everyone who stays with us has the best holiday possible.
Linda Jones purchased this Chateau / Country House in 2018
Why Linda Jones chose Llwyngwril
We both used to holiday in North Wales as children, so the area has special memories for us. Llechwedd combines so many thing that we love - beach, sea, mountains and views all in one property. It has been our dream to own somewhere within the national park, and we have been lucky enough to find this with Llechwedd. We hope you enjoy our home and create your own special memories.
What makes this Chateau / Country House unique
Externally we love the appearance of our Edwardian house in the grand style, but it has some unique features apart from it's fabulous hillside location. The garden room is a particular joy as inside it you feel part attached to the house, but also part belonging to the landscape and gardens. There are also so many places inside and outside of the house where you can take in the sea views. There is a lovely look and feel to the house and gardens, and we want our guests to enjoy that same experience.
Please consider the following guidelines when booking this property:
100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date. 50% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
Lovely weekend away in llwyngwrill
We’ve just had a lovely weekend away in Llwyngwrill. The house was beautiful, well equipped with everything you need. We had nice weather so we spent time sat out in the gorgeous garden taking in the sea view. The owners leave a hamper on arrival which is really nice of them. Definitely recommend this property to others and would definitely return ourselves
Wonderful holiday in a spectacular part of Wales, stunning scenery and beaches
We have had the most amazing week staying at this wonderful property which is well equipped and comfortably large enough to accommodate our two families. Linda has been a wonderful host, who is very attentive and easy to communicate with. We were very appreciative of the fantastic goodies that we’re waiting for us when we arrived - especially the children’s teddies!
The children loved playing and exploring the beautiful garden and being able to walk down to the beach (via the village shop for sweets!) Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and we had some great tips from the locals for places to explore and things to do. (Thank you in particular to Avril - the vicars wife, and Raj at the Indian in Fairbourne). We had the most amazing weather and were able to enjoy a bbq in the garden and chilled on the beach watching a spectacular sunset from Fairbourne Point beach.
The evenings were chilly so it was great to light the wood burner every night and relax in the wonderful drawing room. The children loved the selection of board games and garden games, and it was wonderful to see them choose to play monopoly (rather than be glued to devices). Some of the highlights of our week have included the blue lake (although the walk to it was v steep!), fish n chips on the beach and kite flying at Black Rock Sands beach (where you can drive the car on the beach!), the spectacular scenery on the drive to Snowdon and to Zip World to do Velocity 2!
We loved our stay at this beautiful house and would love to return. There still seems to be so much we have yet to explore.
Splendid House and Garden
Llechwedd offers discerning guests comfort and convenience with great views and a garden to envy. You will not regret booking this impressive house, whatever the weather presents in stunning Snowdonia.
Comfortable and full of character
Three generations stayed here comfortably for a week, with plenty of space. The outside space was enjoyed by the children with lots of nooks and crannies both inside and out. There was a lovely welcome pack waiting for us on arrival along with a card wishing us a lovely holiday. The children were surprised with a special gift each. Mark and Linda couldn't have been more thoughtful in their care and communications with us. Thank you both for a lovely holiday, we will be back.
We all really enjoyed our stay in Llechwedd. We were so lucky with the weather, the sun shone for our stay and there is so much to do in this beautiful part of Wales. Both us adults and all the kids loved the two steam trains close by and many walks to the beach and along the Wales Coastal Path. The house itself is spotless and beautifully presented with lots of space for everyone and the sea views were absolutely amazing. The garden is so big that I don’t think we even explored all of it. We loved the fact that there are 2 comfortable sitting rooms so that adults can sit and chat while the children can chill out with a dvd (thoughtfully provided, thanks) in the evening. Thanks to Linda and Vikki for all your knowledge about the local area as it was our first to Llwyngwril. Thanks also for the welcome pack, we certainly enjoyed the bottles of wine sitting in the garden room!! We will definitely be back next summer but hopefully for a longer stay next time.
Amazing Property with Stunning Sea Views
We stayed at this beautiful property for a very special celebration and we were so pleased that we chose to stay at Llechwedd. What a beautiful house and the views from almost every room were breathtaking. Located in a quiet but very pretty village with lovely walks in every direction from the house we had everything we needed for a truly memorable stay. Our ages ranged from 80 to 4 years old but there was plenty of space for everyone. Thanks again to Linda and Mark for all the help that they gave us before and during our stay. We will be recommending to all of our friends.
