Settle back into real French life.

  • 5 of 5

If you've ever imagined leading the "real" French life, this apartment takes you there. The owner has created a cozy and very livable atmosphere in five living spaces - living room, dining room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. As expected, we ran into some rain during the week and this was a perfect space to enjoy a lovely meal at home, IN PARIS. It gets better. Within a block was the metro station, Michel Bizot, which easily connected to the central area. And on Sunday there was a large street market literally right outside the front door of the building. For those who like to run or walk, Bois de Vincennes is just two blocks up the street. The street really makes living very easy with necessities like a big MonoPrix three blocks away, a wine store just two doors down, fruit and vegetable stores everywhere, and three boulangeries right near by. We were charmed by this place and the neighborhood and thank you, Eric and Alexandre, for making us feel so welcome.

Une adresse de choix, un appartement douillet et bien situé, pour un séjour à Paris tout confort.

  • 5 of 5

Great apartment in the 12th!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I recently spent two weeks in Paris and this apartment was perfect for us. We did not want to just "visit" Paris but wanted to feel like we were living in Paris. Lovely neighborhood with restaurants, boulangeries and grocery stores right outside the door. Try Picard, too. Not your typical frozen foods and very handy when too tired to cook. We took the subway everywhere to see the sights but always looked forward to coming back "home" in the evening. Make sure you walk down the street to the Bois de Vincennes(largest park in Paris) and walk the Promanade Plantee (Paris' version of NY High Line) Eric and Katia were most welcoming and helpful. Katia even called a taxi for us and stayed with us to make sure we got away without any problems. We will be back and I hope this wonderful apartment is still available.

Where do you live?

Felt like I was living in Paris

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I wanted a traditional Paris apartment for a 3 week stay that was out of the main tourist areas. Eric's place was perfect - I would definitely stay there again. The apartment felt like home - we bought groceries and had breakfast and ate dinner in on occasion when tired from a long day of site seeing. Within a block or two we found 3 bakeries, two Franprix grocery stores, a cyber cafe for printing museum and event tickets, 3 great cafe's, a Monoprix (like a Target store in the US), 2 pharmacies and two Metro stops. Even a McDonalds and Burger King down the street if you can't resist. The metro line provided very convenient access to the rest of the city and the sites. About 2-3 blocks away is a huge lovely park we took a couple of long walks through in light rains. Paris is normally cool but for a Texan used to air conditioning we bought a fan (which we left) for a couple of 88-90 degree (F) days in July and did quite fine. The apartment is on a main street which provides some entertainment (we would sit on the balcony with a glass of wine) but can be a bit noisy during rush hours. However, the new double pain windows block essentially all the noise - so no problem, very quiet. Eric explained everything quite well and was very responsive by email for the couple of questions we had. GREAT APARTMENT !!

A Perfect Paris Week

  • 5 of 5

We could not have been more pleased with our Paris stay! Eric Dubreuil was a charming host and was waiting to greet us and explain everything about the apartment. The kitchen was very well appointed with a dishwasher, washer and dryer, gas stovetop, and microwave. Eric also allows renters to leave kitchen staples such as coffee, sugar, tea, olive oil and vinegar. Those supplies, added to the marvelous bakery a few steps from the building, made our first morning so pleasant and free from immediate grocery shopping. The furnishings were typically French, and accented with original art, and lovely decorations making the apartment feel like a home and not a rental property. I can't think of anything I would add to make this a more perfect Paris visit. Thank you Eric!
