The villa is situated about 4km from the village of Cómpeta, on a quiet hillside 1km down a track off the Torrox road (A-7207). Set among vines, olive and fig trees. The villa is 400m from the National Park. Fully furnished and has a private HEATED swimming pool, both bedrooms have air conditioning. There are spectacular views of the mountains to the north. Pool / Spa
Lovely and secluded but not at all far from the beaches or beautiful Competa
We were met as promised and guided to the property. Everything was explained to us regarding pool, waste etc. Tony had provided information on what was available locally to see and do and after that left us to our own devices save for the cheery hellos if we passed at the gate. Very unobtrusive and very responsive to the minor issue we had with the WiFi. We had a fantastic time both out and about and when we had days at the house to relax. The welcome pack was very gratefully received. I would thoroughly recommend staying here and if back in the area would look to book again without consideration to anywhere else.
Tony and Sandy's villa is a superb getaway, sat in a beautiful quiet valley
Tony and Sandy are very friendly and welcoming , and live nearby, should you need them.
The house is spacious and has everything you need for a comfortable holiday.
There was even a welcome pack of essentials like milk, bread, cheese etc.
Love it to bits
This was our second visit to this super villa, our first having been last October.
On both occasions we have found the villa ideal for our needs; it is in excellent condition, well appointed and Sandy and Tony (aided by Shane) are the perfect landords - reacting swiftly when you need something and virtually invisible otherwise.
The villa is ideal for couples or for those with young children (pool is fenced off) who want a quiet, relaxing holiday spent in beautiful Spanish countryside. The village of Competa is a short drive away and will cater for all of your day to day shopping needs - in our three week stay we only had to venture beyond Competa on one occasion - and has a good selection of bars and restaurants.
The internet connection in the villa is pretty good (not up to streaming though) and all the standard UK TV channels are available.
The pool is on the small side but ideally sized for young children and those wishing to use it to cool down or splash around rather than as part of a fitness regime. The fact that it is heated meant that we were able to use it throughout our October stay.
This is not a location for those wishing a lively nightlife within walking distance of their accommodation but if you want tranquil days and are prepared to take a short drive to eat out in the evenings then it is to be thoroughly recommended.
Make no mistake - we will be returning (sorry Sandy and Tony we are already planning !!)
Relax & let the world go by
Our stay at Tony's villa was absolutely great, the pool is secluded & has a perfect orientation to sun bath all day long, the owner keeps the pool between 28 to 30 degrees There is an area which over-looks the valley & hills which is the ideal place for breakfast. The villa was clean & all appliances worked, the owner is nearby should anything go wrong (nothing did during our stay) The coast is only 25mins away at Torrox which has a beautiful beach & the town of Competa is ten minutes away.
Whether you are young/old with or with or without children I would thoroughly recommend this villa, we will certainly be returning in the very near future.

We were looking for a quiet place, near our friends in Competa, where we could catch up with our daughters who had been working away all summer; it was the . Initially, we chose the villa for the price - it was so reasonable and to be honest we weren't expecting anything special. However, we were so bowled over by this brilliant home from home. The attention to detail in the decorations and all the little things provided made life so relaxing. Comfortable beds, great kitchen, dining and living areas; shady terrace, beds for sunbathing around a super swimming pool. Everything we could have wanted had been thought of (including discreet washing line tucked away so it didn't spoil the view!) Tony and Sandy (owners) were there if needed but we had total privacy. The track to the villa took a little getting used to but after a few days we were whizzing along! There are great restaurants and supermarket, fruit shop etc a few minutes drive away in Competa; do go to the town square for morning coffee or evening drink it is beautiful. There are interesting places to visit both in the mountains and on the coast - our girls persuaded us to take them to one of the shopping malls on the coast great selection of things for those wanting to shop and even my husband said it wasn't too bad! We heartily recommed the villa to anyone; families, couples, friends, it is a great place; all you need is a carry on bag for luggage as everything else is there! We definitely want to return.
Great Place to Relax with Beautiful Views
Ideal location for relaxing!
The villa is well maintained and has everything you could need. The owners provided an excellent service, managed to source same day a docking station for husbands ipod - nothing was ever too much trouble for them.
An exceptionally large welcome pack was provided, but shops in nearby Competa and Torrox short drive away.
At first it was hard to drag ourselves away, but there is so much to see - mountain villages, beaches, Nerja, Malaga, Alhambra the list goes on!
The villa sits at the bottom of a long track, so very quiet - only downside was it was a bit bumpy, but our little hire car made it during our 2 week stay.
We would happily recommend this villa and hope to return soon.
Cómpeta is one of the most attractive whitewashed villages in Andalucia. Set approximately 600 metres above sea level in the foothills of the Sierra Almijara, the village remains intrinsically Spanish and has several excellent restaurants and shops. The region offers beautiful scenery with mountains, an adjacent national park, clear seas, lovely beaches and many places of interest. Nerja is about 12 km away, with beaches and prehistoric caves. Granada, Seville, Gibraltar and the busier resorts of the Costa Del Sol are all readily accessible. Sports/leisure activities, including walking, climbing, horse-riding, golf and tennis are all available nearby.
Premises must be vacated by 11.00. Entry is not before 3.00. 25% deposit on booking: Remainder 4 weeks prior to your holiday. This Villa is available for long term rental from October at 650 euros per month + electric . It has a wood burning stove. Logs can be arranged at 65 Euros per cubic metre
