About John G. Scarlato Jr. Trustee

After Years of vacationing at Copake Lake this home was built by my family to be a true vacation home.

it is lake front and we take advantage of the view and access to the lake.

It is a spot you hate to leave.

John G. Scarlato Jr. Trustee purchased this house in 1996

Why John G. Scarlato Jr. Trustee chose Copake Lake

This spot is a nice easy drive from New York city and suburbs.

Boston and suburbs and Hartford. This is a great hidden spot to get away and enjoy all country side has to offer.

bike or walk the rail trail, golf at the Copake Country Club, Hike at Bash Bish Falls,

shop the Prime outlets at Lee, Fall Foliage and train ride in lee. Skiing Catamount, Butter Nut, Jiminy Peak. and a lot more the area has to offer.

What makes this house unique

I just love siting on the porch or the dock deck and looking at the sunset after a great day at the lake.

Well stocked gorgeous lake house!

  • 5 of 5

The house is cozy and has a beautiful view of the lake. John was fantastic to work with. We went in the late fall so we didnt utilize the lake front but would like to come again this summer. Good location, not too far from Hillsdale to pick up groceries and wine!

Amazing weekend!

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed at the lake house for the weekend for my brothers wedding. The house was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. The owner was great , very responsive to any questions I had at the house. There was plenty if room for my family to sleep comfortably in the house. We are already planning our next trip to the lake house! Highly reccommended!

Amazing time at the lake!!!

  • 5 of 5

Our group of 13 had an amazing time at John's place! We didn't want to leave! It was comfortable for our whole group with room for all the sleep. The kitchen was perfect for making meals, and the deck was by far the best part! Was great for hanging and relaxing. Also a gorgeous lake front of course. It's the perfect home for big groups/big families. Highly recommend!! And John is a wonderful host!!! We'll be back for sure!!

Great lakeside spot for large groups

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time with our six families that included 5 children under 4. The lake access was tremendous but the hill was rather steep and rocky down to the lake itself. Not a lot of lawn space to play lawn games. The roofed porch was often utilized during our stay and was perfect rain or shine. The indoor space was nice and open connecting the kitchen to the living room. Great having a boat rental place less than 0.5 miles away to get a pontoon boat for the afternoon ($175). Closest grocery/liquor store is 10 minutes away in Hillsdale. Overall a beautiful location and great private lake spot. The only tough part was the steep hill but we managed with the young children. It would be great if some of the tree limbs blocking the lake view could be trimmed like they did next door. John was great in communicating leading up to our stay so thanks to him!

Labor Day weekend 5 stars

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here over Labor Day weekend with a group of friends and had an awesome time. The house is beautiful on the inside, and much more roomy than it seems in pictures. Not pictured is a brand new deck off the back with a table, chairs, and couch like seating. The brand new grill was perfect for cooking. John was very helpful when we needed him and easy to reach. Thanks for a great weekend!
