Smugglers has recently been tastefully re modelled to retain its 1750’s cottage charm, whilst offering a luxurious guest experience. We have original beamed ceilings an inglenook fireplace, with a big wood burning stove for guests to use. Stylish bathrooms and bedrooms and a lovely sun trap of a garden. Stunning views of Pegwell bay are just across the road.
The cottage is light, spacious and decorated in pale tones throughout. With lovely blonde wooden floors, cosy rugs and contemporary soft furnishings. We have two deep comfortable sofas one of which opens out to a very comfortable sofa bed, suitable for everyday use with a 12cm deep mattress. Our dining room with space to seat six guests looks out to the sun trap flint walled garden, which retains the sun in full until it goes down over the bay. A delight to watch from the front of the cottage. We have a stylish fully equipped kitchen, with electric oven and induction hob, family sized fridge freezer and a separate integrated fridge. A washing machine, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, microwave and all the pots and pans, crockery, cutlery and glassware that you will need for your stay. We have two lovely spacious light double bedrooms with plenty of storage and a TV in each. One of the beds can be split to make two singles. Please indicate when booking if you would like two singles. This bedroom has a stylish en suite shower room with wc and the family bathroom with bath is situated off the landing. Our paved garden features a large table, high backed chairs an umbrella for shade and additional bench seating. We have a couple of sun loungers for your leisure. The cottage has WiFi and central heating throughout. To aid your cosy wood burner experience, we provide enough logs and firelighters to start you off. Please advise when booking if you would like extra wood and we can arrange to leave additional bags at cost. We hope that you enjoy your stay in our cosy stylish smugglers cottage by the bay. Note that as this is a period property the ceilings in the lounge are lower than average, there are two steps down into the living room and some up to the raised garden. Please ask for more information if you have mobility requirements.
