Where luxury and style meet the Blue Ridge Mountains. Rivers Ridge Lodge is a custom built, 5,000 SF, 6 bedroom, 6.5 bath log home nestled into 3000+ feet of river frontage on 17 undeveloped acres. Immerse yourself in the beauty of Western North Carolina from the 5,000+ SF deck that wraps the Lodge on 3 sides and juts over the edge of the widest span in the river. The open gourmet kitchen/living room, with its 16 ft stone fireplace and antler chandelier, will warmly welcome your extended family, friends or colleagues and comfortably accommodate them. Sleep and relax in any of 3 Master Suites on the main level. We have also crafted ramps, a barrier free shower and widened doorways to make the main floor and deck of the Lodge wheelchair friendly so everyone is included. The Lodge will sleep 20+ and the exterior bunkhouses add space for 5-6 more.

Very private, yet only minutes away from Interstate 40 (Exit 75), Rivers Ridge Lodge is an ideal spot for year-round vacations and events.

Rivers Ridge Lodge and the cities of Black Mountain and Asheville offer something for everyone from Waterfalls to first class Spas, Craft Breweries & Wineries, award-winning Restaurants, Scenic Drives, Folk Art, Rock Climbing, Performing Arts, Music, Shopping, The Quilt Trail, unique History, etc. Planning a wedding or event? The lodge has been the venue for many weddings, as well as other family, friends or business gatherings.

Fly Fish Rivers Ridge Lodge’s 3000 feet of private waters (probably best for beginners to those with mid range skills) with family or friends. For the expert fly fishing group, we’ll help you schedule an expedition to one of Western North Carolina’s beloved fly fishing destinations. There are many within easy driving distance, and we know great local guides.

Does your group crave competition? Because of its proximity to Pisgah National Forest, the area features ambitious races of all types, most notably those bordering on the crazy or zany...think Black Mountain Marathon/Mount Mitchell Challenge or Assault on Mount Mitchell.

Is golf the game of choice? Western NC is a golfer’s paradise offering a wide variety of well known courses.

Weather not conducive to fishing or golf? Home to 11 craft breweries, Asheville boasts about 50 local beers. Asheville has more breweries per capita than any other US city! Wine vineyards have thrived in Western NC because of the area’s excellent conditions for growing grapes at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. There are six excellent wineries just east of Rivers Ridge Lodge and the vineyards and winery on The Biltmore Estate in Asheville.

Did you know that Western NC has a rich Revolutionary and Civil War history? Reenactments are celebrated and many sites are commonly visited. There are famous literary personalities with museums and memorials in the area...Fred Chappell, Gail Godwin, O. Henry, Carl Sandburg, Thomas Wolfe. Whatever the focus, we’ll help you create an exciting getaway.

Popular day trips include: Pisgah National Forest, within minutes; Black Mountain, 10 mins; Blue Ridge Parkway, 12 min; Lake James, Lake Lure, and Chimney Rock, 30 mins; downtown Asheville's Biltmore Estate and Grove Park Inn, 25 min; Linville Caverns, 40 mins; Mount Mitchell, 50 mins; Sugar and Beech Mountain (skiing), 60-70 min.

Beautiful lodge and view
Overall we enjoyed our stay. Lana was helpful and easy to get in touch with. The river view and property is beautiful and the deck is amazing, especially when you have a large family or group. The kitchen had more than enough supplies/cutlery/cooking essentials that we needed to cook big meals everyday.

Amazing and Beautiful
This was by far an amazing place for a large family get away during Thanksgiving. There was enough space for everyone to spread out and the table was large enough for everyone to gather together. Lana was a great host and was available to answer any questions. The grounds are secluded and just absoutely beautiful. Although it was a bit chilly we were still able to get out and take pictures by the river and enjoy a campfire. Thank you Lana and we hope to return!!

Great deck and location on river
We were a group of five families and we are used to vacationing together. My communication with Lana was terrific, and she was flexible with our group’s arrival time. The house is beautiful and striking when you arrive. We had a glorious time on the deck enjoying it morning, noon, and night. We tubed the little river. We drove the short distance to Black Mountain for shopping and eating and visiting some breweries. We hiked and biked. We went to Asheville. We even figured out how to use the special AGA Stove (Swedish brand) which Lana will describe for you on checking in. All the members of our party had fun! A few additional notes: The house was overall very clean, though dust and cobwebs were visible in some places. We had a little trouble figuring out where we were all going to sleep and we had to get creative with some bathroom use as well- for example, 2 bathrooms are within the master suite, which seems odd. We did figure it out, and there were plenty of sheets and blankets for our needs. One other thing we noticed is that a lot of bedrooms don’t have closets, which wasn’t and issue for us as we were just there for three nights. And the final gravel road and driveway were challenging for some of our vehicles which bottomed out or spun out. Overall, I’d say that this is a fun, special house and the star of the house is the deck! We enjoyed our stay very much. All the members of our party, including teens, enjoyed themselves!
