Town: Anstruther is the principal village on Fife’s East Neuk Coast and was formerly Anstruther West and East. The two parts of the village are divided by the Dreel Burn. The history is well documented in the Scottish Fisheries Museum sitting alongside the harbour. The town offers many cafes, bars, galleries and restaurants including the award-winning Anstruther Fish Bar. The harbour is now home to the many pleasure craft offering trips along the coast or to the Isle of May in the Firth of Forth to view the puffin and seal colonies. Across the Forth is Edinburgh and this is easily accessed by car or public transport.
