East Acton is a buzzing, cosmopolitan area that is home to a vibrant mix of residents. It is partly in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and partly in the London Borough of Ealing. It is served by East Acton tube station, on the Central Line in Zone 2.
There is a lot to explore around! From 10 am to 5 pm, Friday to Sunday each week, you can come and explore the Acton market and find yourself a bargain or two. There are art and craft stalls as well as organic food, preserves and bread.
On Acton High Street are the recently renovated Victorian swimming baths. You can reminisce about the times when Acton was a destination for medicinal bathing as you splash around in the two swimming pools.
Once the estate of Princess Amelia and the Rothschilds, Gunnersbury Park is a beautiful parkland with a 19thcentury mansion, ponds and playgrounds. The mansion is home to a local history museum and has a formal Italian style garden. The park is the perfect place for a Sunday afternoon picnic or strolls with the family.
And if you’re looking for a good place to eat in, here are some suggestions!
Hummingbird Café offers the tastiest, fluffiest blueberry pancake breakfast, which goes great with their homemade lemonade with fresh mint. Unmissable!
The Station House is a little gem located in the heart of Acton in Poet's Corner and a lovely place to go for a bite to eat. They have a great selection of very tasty food. We recommend going there for a Sunday lunch!
If you’re looking for classic British food in vintage-style surroundings, head to Bush Hall Dining Rooms - this restaurant is the perfect place for a family get together.
Craving a delicious pot of houmous? One of the locals' favourites is Al Sultan, one of the first Lebanese restaurants having opened in London. They pride themselves on having served mouthwatering Middle Eastern delicacies even to Royal Families and Heads of State.
The flat is conveniently located at a short walking distance from both East Acton Tube station and Acton Central Overground one.
The Central line connects you to Oxford Circus in less than 20 minutes and all major attractions are at a very easy reach. This Tube line works 24h non-stop on weekends, so don't worry about running late!
