Being from the northeast we spend our winters on the Georgia coast enjoying the milder climate. This little cottage is on our compound in a beautiful setting. The cottage is a perfect getaway for a couple or small family. Guests are welcome to follow the path to the sundeck overlooking the marsh. We enjoy the varied wildlife, abundance of birds and hope you will too.

A most enjoyable stay
This was our second stay at the cottage. It has everything one needs for a short visit away from home. It's easy to get to, close to golf courses, and an easy drive to the larger town of Brunswick. Jan was most attentive and responded promptly to any questions we had. Don't miss a tour to Sapelo Island. It's fascinating. I'd definitely recommend a stay at the Oaks of Eden.
Super cute cabin
Great experience with lovely hosts always attentive to our needs. Highly recommended for anyone seeking peace and quiet.
It was a pleasure to have you stay with us.Hope you will come our way again.
My wife and I were looking for something off the beaten path but still within proximity of things to do. The Oaks of Eden cottage at the Blue Heron Inn was perfect. With a kitchen, sitting room, bedroom & bath, it just what we needed and nothing more or less.
It was awesome to go for a quick run in the morning and then come back to coffee and watching the day come alive from the screened in porch. I was treated to deer, skinks, frogs and some of the most gorgeous golden orb weavers. Fear not, the porch is well sealed and you can observe all the beauty safely behind a screen.
We did day trips to Jekyll & St. Simon's Islands. The ferry to Sapelo Island is literally a mile from the cottage door step. Plenty to do but we also enjoyed our solitude with down time chilling in the cottage.
Plenty of good restaurants in Darien as well as the Fish Dock just north of the property.
Jan was incredible and helped me get a beautiful bouquet of flowers that was waiting our arrival. My wife was pleasantly surprised and loved them. Jan was always quick to respond to any questions or inquiries. She even shipped me my pillow that I forgot.
To sum up, if you want to experience all that coastal Georgia has to offer, but still want your space, the Oaks of Eden is the place for you.
Great to have you stay with us. Nothing like a cozy place for two. Thank you.
Great getaway in Georgia
Oaks of Eden provided the perfect place for a getaway weekend for my husband and me. The cottage is cozy, clean, and comfortable and the setting is quiet and peaceful.
We also enjoyed a delicious dinner at a seafood restaurant in nearby Darien.
Just be sure to pack insect repellent--mosquitoes thrive in the wooded, lush environment. But you can sit outside and enjoy nature on the screened-in back porch. Bring a book and relax!
Very nice private geraway
Nice, quite, secluded getaway. Perfect for a romantic getaway for 2. Pet friendly is a plus.
And I understand the finishing touches were being put on the new screened porch as you arrived. Hope you were able to enjoy a pleasant breeze on the porch. Thank you for staying at Oaks of Eden.

My husband and I, our two small children, and our dog had a wonderful stay at Oaks of Eden cottage! Betty and Dick were perfect hosts, very helpful and friendly, made us feel right at home, and even took us on a golf cart tour of the beautiful area! The cottage is quaint, clean and well stocked, we had everything we needed. The cottage is private and peaceful, tucked beneath gorgeous old live oak trees on a very quiet and picturesque road, perfect for walks and/or bike rides.
