Well worth the stairs!

Have just returned from a wonderful week staying at the "Old Town Top Floor" with family to celebrate my 60th and husband's 65th birthdays.

Although not overly fit we managed the 100 stairs to get to the apartment and can only say that it was well worth it - view from the large, very impressive terrace was breath taking whatever time of day you went out there – whether a morning breakfast or evening BBQ with a glass of wine.

Apartment itself is quite small but has everything you need. Comfortable sitting area with nice TV and entertainment system, kitchen, bathroom and 2 double bedrooms. My only criticism would be that the basics could be better - plates and mugs etc need replacing as its was all a bit sad and mismatched – bedding, although nice and clean, was a rather strange grey colour and didn't seem very enticing.

Overall I would thoroughly recommend a visit here just for the terrace and views but if, like us, you are not as young and fit as you used to be it's best to plan your day in advance so you don't have to go up and down the stairs too often!

There are plenty of sights and lovely bars/ restaurants around the area – Cathedral is a few yards away and main shopping area just a few minutes walk. Old town is charming with lots of narrow streets and lanes to explore.

If you want to stay in the heart of the old town then this really is the place.

100 step closer to heaven.

Wonderful apartment with great views. Good beds. Spices, dish / laundry detergent, towels. We are very pleased with the apartment and can really recomend it to adults. The Fridge could have been better and a minimum of 4 wine glasses of 4 guests. Ferdinand was very helpful.
