Limoges has restaurants & bars, cafes, 2 cinemas, aquatic centres, hypermarkets & shopping. It has medieval streets to wander down & a grand cathedral that overlooks the river. There are museums giving background & story to its porcelain pottery and resistance in WW2. Oradour sur Glane the 'Village of the Martyrs' is nearby. It stands as a memorial, exactly as it was left by its community that were tragically slaughtered by the SS in 1944.
