Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a lovely fortnight, excellent location for visiting places on both coastlines, typical mixed weather but still some days to spend on the excellent beaches enjoying the surf.

The perfect home away from home

  • 5 of 5

First time travellers to Cornwall, we loved this peaceful location with all its home comforts and it was a joy to return here each day after our sightseeing. Sue was very welcoming and helpful with lots of local knowledge and we found the location very central for trips by car, in any direction. Loved the garden and the posy vases on the windowsill such a nice touch. Everything we needed and more after travelling for several weeks.

Everything you need

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from a week at Sweet Pea where the facilities, and location were both very good. The cottage is well equipped ,clean and well maintained, even including a cool bag for picnics, and we enjoyed coming "home "after a day out because everything was there. Ample parking for our car, and so quiet at all times of the day .The garden was beautiful , I enjoyed pulling back the curtains first thing to see the rabbits on the lawn and the weather allowed us to have breakfast on the patio and wine on the garden benches in the evening .

The location allowed us to visit many places without having to drive miles, North and South coast within easy reach. We enjoyed walking the coastal path and also going to Truro .

The owner Susan was most helpful with anything from where to find good ice creams to using the Wi FI .

I certainly recommend Sweet pea to my friends , and we hope to return .

Cosy Cottage

  • 5 of 5

Sweet Pea lives up to its name. It is a very sweet and cosy country-style cottage that contains everything you need for a comfortable stay.. Having access to WiFi was also a real bonus. The cottage looks out onto lovely large gardens with many birds and is very peaceful. The owner, Sue was most welcoming and helpful when we arrived and yet was not at all intrusive during our stay. The location was great for heading off in all directions to explore all that wonderful Cornwall has to offer, so a car is essential.

Wer Cornwall mag, wird dieses Cottage lieben

  • 5 of 5

Location Description:

The village of Scorrier is ideally situated between the North & South Cornwall coasts, making it the perfect location from which to explore this fascinating and historic area of England.

The city of Truro and the historic port of Falmouth are within easy reach. Falmouth boasts the third largest natural harbour in the world and is also home to the National Maritime Museum.

A great day out to the South of the county is to St. Ives with it’s cobbled streets, harbour, beautiful beaches and galleries – the place that has inspired so many artists and writers over the years. The wonderful St. Michael's Mount, the ancestral home of the St. Aubyn Family, as well as Penzance, Lands End and the Lizard are all an approximate, 35 minute drive away. To the North, at around the same distance you will find the famous Eden Project together with the wonderful Lost Gardens of Heligan.

The golf courses of Killiow, Tehidy, Perranporth and Truro are all close by and the nearest beach a mere 3 miles away with majestic cliffs and coastline, an ideal spot for walkers and birdwatchers. Cornwall is one of England’s most beautiful counties. Recognised as a Celtic Nation, it boasts stunning countryside, beautiful beaches and a distinct cultural history.
