HOME FROM HOME
It was just like being at home on holiday. Maxine was so welcoming, pleasant and helpful, and has worked really hard to make Ashore Terrace as comfortable and enjoyable as possible - all the small touches and detail that you would expect to fling in your own home, but without clutter. As a family we would have no hesitation whatsoever in staying here again in the future.
Really superb accomodation, in an excellent location.
No one should ever be disappointed with their stay at Ashore Terrace. From the warm & hospitable welcome from Maxine on arrival, to the luxury touches like provided dressing gowns, our stay at Ashore Terrace was worth every single penny.
Superb location with good views across Belfast Lough, lots of places to eat nearby, & close enough to Belfast one way, & the Antrim Coast Route the other way!
The property itself is light, warm & comfortable, plenty of space, & the website photos barely do it justice!
Thankyou to Maxine again for a great place to stay!!
This property is everything that you could hope for in a vacation rental and more...
We really enjoyed our stay here... From being greeted by Maxine for a guided tour of the property to the minute we left... It is in an excellent location, with everything you need within walking distance...
I would certainly recommend Ashore Terrace to anyone without hesitation...
Thank you so much for your perfect review and I'm delighted you all enjoyed your stay. Thank you for leaving Ashore Terrace so tidy and I hope to welcome you all again in the future. Take care
Home away from Home
Our stay at Ashmore Terrace was just amazing such a wonderful house . After travelling for 5 weeks in many lovely Cottages, B&B's and hotels, Ashmore Terrace is the one that we felt was a home not just a stay. Beautiful clean, great position lovely decor. We prepared some meals at "home" as we had been eating out for weeks and need to relax this house fitted the bill. Could walk to everything that we needed and the Castle was across the road. We day tripped to The Swinging Bridge , The Causeway and Londonderry, This will always be a very fond memory. Thank you Maxine.
Great location, beautiful property lovely seaside community.
Maxine was lovely and very welcoming and her property allowed us to enjoy our stay and feel very comfortable the whole time we were there. The property was a mix of old world home and modern convenience and we enjoyed it every day we were there. Lots of space to be either together or have time on your own and the area around the property was beautiful. Really close to a beautiful waterfront walkway, great pub with wonderful food 30 ft from the front door, Carrickfergus Castle a 5 minute walk and the train station a 5 minute walk as well so you could have access to any other area you want to get to really quickly. This is a beautiful property that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area. Thanks Maxine for your hospitality it was lovely meeting you and I hope to one day be back to stay and will definitely recommend it to any friends that might happen to be heading your way. Thanks again.
Thank you for your lovely review. I am so glad you all enjoyed your stay and would delighted to have the chance to welcome you back again. Take care :)
A perfect base to explore the region
We settled in immediately and felt completely at home at Ashore Terrace.
The first evening we ate next door at Ownies which was recommended by Maxine and just a step away where we enjoyed an excellent convivial meal.
After shopping the next day (one is spoilt for choice of large stores just a short drive away ) we ate breakfasts and dinners at the house in the pleasant dining room next to the kitchen.
The house is spacious enough for six people to be completely at ease everywhere: in the dining room in the charming living room and in the three bedrooms.
The internet works very well by the way.
The house is tastefully decorated and has a very warm welcoming feel, it was great to chill out after dinner in the comfy lounge on the first floor with the evening light over the lough streaming in.
The house is situated very near to Carrickfergus Castle which is well worth a visit.
Ashore Terrace is a perfect base to explore the region, we had a wonderful holiday in Northern Ireland.
We would all return to this charming house without hesitation if we come back to this part of the world.
