Penthouse situated in residential part of village.

Only 3 mins walk to a soft sandy clean and quiet beach this luxurious Penthouse has all you could wish for in great holiday accommodation. Three bedrooms; one double bedroom on ground level and two large twin bedrooms on the second level. Two bathrooms, one adjacent to the master bedroom on the ground floor and a second bathroom on level two. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.This unique design concept with a mezzanine overlooking the delightful living area may suit a couple or up to six persons in the utmost of comfort. A beautifully furnished living room, sound system and large flat screen TV with patio doors leading on to a large terrace which enjoys sunshine to late in the evening - a sun worshipper's paradise. The terrace comprises of two reclining loungers, a large dining table and six chairs. Off the living area is a separate dining room, again with patio doors leading to a balcony which enjoys the morning sunshine; wonderful views to Monchique ideal for breakfast.

Ultra modern fully tiled fitted kitchen with hygienic polished granite worktops. It includes dishwasher, microwave oven, hob, fridge freezer, kettle, coffee maker, toaster, cutlery and utensils.Interior designed bathroom fully tiled with bath, shower and surround, mirrored door, creative lighting, heater and bidet.Two Balconies offering direct sunlight all day long during summer and winter.Enjoy breakfast on one and dinner on the other.Both equipped with table, chairs and loungers.Binoculars provided to enjoy splendid panoramic views from both balconies while you listen to the birds sing and watch the swallows at play. In this friendly traditional fishing village, there is a good variety of restaurants and bars.It is a three minute walk to the beach but it may take somewhat longer to return home if you pay a visit to some of the local bars such as The Smugglers, Ivo's, Varanda, and Jimmi's on the way back!

From Faro airport the road leads down to join the main EN125 highway. Cross over the flyover and join the highway heading north away from the city of Faro. Go past the turn off for Almancil, which was the old route along the Algarve and continue to the intersection with the IP1 motorway. The road west is signposted to Lisbon and Portimao. Miss the turn off and you head towards Loule, it is wise to turn around and come back to join the IP1.

Burgau is a traditional fishing village with narrow cobbled streets.If you like to enjoy the beautiful sandy beaches , crystal clear Atlantic ocean, walk on the cliff top to Salema, peruse local markets or simply inhale the intoxicatingly pure air , then Burgau will not be surpassed. The local people are most welcoming and English is widely used.The airport in Faro is only an hour's drive from this picturesque village.

Wonderful holiday in a lovely village

We are just back from a wonderful holiday in the lovely village of Burgau. Despite our very late arrival on the first evening Gary was very helpful,available to give us directions and show us round the apartment which is centrally located.

This apartment is spacious , bright, airy and tastefully decorated. The appliances, including the A/C the washing machine and the cooker are easy to use and very efficient. The tiled floor and large leather couch ensured a dust free environment but the real gem is the large and sunny south facing balcony. Despite there being six of us there was ample room for us to relax and enjoy sitting , sun bathing or eating al fresco. Burgau is a small village with a great beach, a well stocked small supermarket and plenty good restaurants. There are also plenty coastal paths from one village to the next . We had not only a great time but a much needed rest . I would thoroughly recommend a holiday here to anyone who enjoys the a warm sunny break in a lovely apartment.

Alle beschriebenen Details treffen 100%ig zu! Die Ausstattung und die besonders gute Lage in dem noch relativ ursprünglichen Örtchen Burgau machen die Wohnung zu einem wirklich empfehlenswerten Urlaubstipp. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden mit Sicherheit wiederkommen!

Lovely apartment in the centre of Burgau

Beautiful and spacious duplex apartment which was modern, bright airy and spotlessly clean.

My family and i thoroughly enjoyed our week here in Burgau and having such a gem of a retreat to return from our days on the beach,made our stay all the more enjoyable.

From the moment we were greeted by the charming Scottish gentleman until the moment we finally had to close the door for the last time, we will always remember our stay in the Caravela apartment

Bright, Airy, Spacious Family Apartment!

We stayed in this lovely apartment during the recent October mid term break.

As a family of two adults and 4 children (including teenagers!) we found there is not a huge selection of 3 bedroom accommodations in Burgau, so this apartment right in the centre of the village was a real "find".

The apartment has a spacious feel from the minute you walk in the door, the living area has a double height ceiling with doors to a large sunny terrace. There is some lovely artwork on the walls, and stairs to a mezzanine level with bedrooms two and three. Both of these bedrooms, like downstairs were spacious, airy and clean.

On the ground level there is a separate kitchen with access to a smaller balcony which got the sunshine in the mornings! We didn't dine in much but had we wanted to the facilities for cooking were excellent, including a separate dining room with a table sufficient to accommodate our large family!

Our older teenagers were very impressed with their "studio room", although it is an integral part of the apartment, it also has its own separate access door so they were able to come and go as they pleased and felt very independent!

I felt this room would be ideal if we were to consider bringing the grandparents in the future!

Bathrooms were spotless and modern, hot water was plentiful, air conditioning was available although we had no requirement for it at this time.

While this apartment was in the centre of the village, it seemed a very peaceful and quiet location, while shops and restaurants are literally on your doorstep, the beach and the few bars of Burgau are about a 4 minute walk so I imagine it would be still nice and quiet even in peak Summer.

I would recommend this apartment without hesitation, and definitely hope to return next Summer.

Paraíso in Burgau's Fishing Village

This place must be one of Portugal's,and indeed Europe's best kept secrets.Life ebbs and flows like the waves lapping on the areia beach. Not commercial yet all modern conveniences understated.

This property is spacious, clean , comfortable and most of all welcoming. Bedrooms separated from on another... there are 2 floors and a mezzanine.Large balcony has sun until night fall and early morning sun and light on other one.

Large Sun set scene in living room creates such an ambience and animates the bright decor. The owners describe it as "unique" and it certainly fits the description.

I thoroughly recommend this place and this property, only a few minutes walk from the beach!

I will book for next year.
