About Mrs Sonia
Hallo everyone! My name is SONIA and I am from Lucca. I run my Lucca Holiday Rentals company that offers exceptional apartments in the heart of Lucca. My goal is to help you fall in love with Lucca – to discover, explore, taste and savor new sights and experiences in this incredible city. My company began almost 10 years ago when I started to rent my family villa after my parents moved to the mountains when they got retired. I spent there my entire childhood and I grew up there in deep contact with the nature and the history. My father thaught me everything about the birds and the antique trees and flowers of the villa and the smell of the sizzling pans used to wake me up each Sunday morning after my mum started to cook! I was fascinated by her when she was telling me the history of the villa in the past century. I thought this kind of feelings are too precious to let them go so then I had the idea to share my love of Lucca and “la dolce Vita” by finding beautiful apartments , villas and farmhouses in my favorite Lucca neighborhoods among my family members properties. Lucca Holiday Rentals started out as a boutique family company and now there are over 15 people working together. We are a friendly and enthusiastic team who will assist you every step of the way, from your first enquiry to your arrival in Lucca.
Mrs Sonia purchased this Farmhouse in 2011

a memorable holiday
We had a great time. Your hospitality was wonderful – we felt so welcome. Villa Pallina is simply awesome. We had so much fun sitting by the pool, eating dinners around the table and touring around Tuscany… Pictures will never show the beauty of the view and Lucca is such a unique place. We found the road to the villa nice and pleasant and did not have any difficulty as someone else reported in previous reviews. Lucca Apartments and Villas is a treasure! thanks
Just like in the movies!
I couldn’t recommend this beautiful setting any more. The villa and surrounding countryside are picturesque, our family loved wandering through the countryside enjoying the magnificent views, or sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine (provided by the owners on arrival, along with cake and a bottle of local olive oil). Lucca is also a lovely nearby town to visit. The particular highlight was the local community’s pizza night - So much fun and a real local experience, highly recommend! Thank you very much for making our stay an unforgettable one.
Thank you very much Scott! We all enjoyed meeting you, all the staff at Lucca Apartments and Villas was so pleased to deal with you! We all hope to see you again in the future!
Very comfortable house for our family vacation (5adults). Well equipped kitchen. Amazing setting among the olive groves. A warm reception by Gabriella e Adolfo. Be aware that the road access is very challenging, but gets easier with practice.
Thank you Susan, it was lovely to meet you! See you again next year! Sonia
Excellent stay in Lucca
Gabriela and Adolpho greeted us and took us to the villa. They were so warm and helpful. Felt right at home before we even unpacked. Christina left us an amazing welcome dinner and returned later in the week to prepare the best meal ever! Would highly recommend this experience. The property is beautiful and so comfortable. Would absolutely return.
Thank you Cindy, it was lovely to meet you!! Thanks so much!! Sonia
Welcomed by owners with cake and a bottle of wine. Was their former home. Pleased overall with house though very dark inside OBVIOUSLY to keep out. Kitchen adequate but not modern. Ample knives, etc for large groups. I would suggest that they include a few Dish washing gels also for Washing machine (personal thought though). Pool very nice but of course attracts bugs, Fire wood would have been nice to have included - otherwise who would buy for a week. One bar/shop in village; BASIC. great supermarket 10 min drive. Be prepared to drive - No brainer. whilst we were there August Fest above : good value food and drinks, owner and husband worked it : Great Job. Lots of Wasps there though - Be prepared. Very well organized and cleaned up most efficiently. Must go ! well worth it. Table cloth plastic BASIC. Would be great if they included candles. Would I return with friends : no. a one off to be sure. Enjoyed
Hallo and thank you for your reivew. Your comments about the pool attracting bugs (I guess you do not mean mosquitoes as the pool water has chlorine which works as a mosquito repellent and does not allow mosquito life) is so much fun! That's the same for every pool in italy and probably in the world... Regarding the fire wood... Were you seriously meaning that you would have needed to heat the house with the fireplace in deep summer when outside the temperature was 35°C? That is fun as well! Wasps? there may have been some being in the countryside.. but worth mentioning it as a problem of house? The plastic table cloth to provide more hygiene (easy to clean and protects the food from the contact with wood) was not nice? Well you could have added one of our linen table clothes that are stored in the kitchen... Overall your review is confusing.
A magnificent villa with a wonderful olive grove garden. Simply the best villa I've stayed in
The property could not have been better. Wonderful grounds - more than garden! Swimming pool fantastic and all of us , not just the kids, spent hours chilling out in and around it. The interior of the house is beautifully decorated and equipped: a wonderful home to us for the week. The web photos don't do the property credit! Really well looked after by Valentina and her mum and dad. The village is beautifully located in the hills but you'll need to get used to tiny roads and tight corners: don't hire the very big car! Lovely walk down - 30 mins- to lovely pizzeria, gelateria, bar etc. Great stopping off point to delights of coast, mountains, and great cities...but I found we needn't want to leave our shangri-la too much! Very hard to leave and would love to return to our villa paradiso!
Thank you very much for your kind review! It was lovely to meet you and host you! Sonia
