Great Value Great Location
Our group consisted of 5 couples, 2 elementary age children and 3 dogs. Our requirements were 6 bedrooms, pet friendly house, dog friendly beach, ocean front, clean, minimum 4 bathrooms, outdoor shower, and reasonably priced! Yes, we are a tough customer group. But this house met all and above. We had plenty of room for everyone. A prior review indicated there could be more table space for 12 people, so we brought our own folding tailgate table and this provided enough space along with the dining room table. A prior review said lots of kitchen supplies but limited space for food/pantry. So we brought our food in large plastic bins and was not a problem at all. Bring bug spray. At night the bugs will carry you away. We had a great time. Beds were comfortable. House was clean. Parking spaces were available for all 5 of our cars. The central air in the upstairs did not cool as well as the 2 downstairs bedrooms but was adequate. Concerns we expressed to the agent/management were resolved in 24 hours. With this many people there were always more than 1 shower running at a time and the water pressure and temperature did not seem effected by multiple use at the same time. The photos are a realistic representation of the house. Overall, it exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend this house for a great value in a great location.
Thank you for sharing your experience Darlene and for the hearty recommendation. We are thrilled to hear everything went smoothly and your group really enjoyed their stay. Feedback like this really makes our day. We look forward to welcoming you back on the Island again soon.
It’s pretty nice overall. Only a few complaints
We took 7 kids under the age of 16 and 6 adults for our spring break stay. The house was available at 3:45pm and very clean upon arrival. Some of the things we noticed included a huge open kitchen/living/dining but no food pantry. Just one small cabinet. Plenty of cooking utensils, pots/pans/lids, and a large dining table but only 6 chairs. There were 4 stools at the kitchen island but they were too tall for proper eating at the table. There are three places to keep cold items, a regular fridge, a mini fridge (which didn’t work at all), and a large wine fridge. Also, there were over 15 light switches in the kitchen/dining room, which would benefit from labeling for ease of use.
Some of the wood paneling in a couple rooms was peeling off and exposing the wood wall beneath. The back bedroom upstairs with bathroom attached had a couple issues; the shower water pressure was barely strong enough to rinse soap off your body so we ended up using the hall bathroom shower. The hall bathshower would benefit from a new shower rod as the current one is rusted. The bedroom in the back with the attached bath, that TV didn’t work properly. The image on the screen was discolored, staticky and no sound.
During our visit I called for two repairs which were tended too quickly. Those were the Wiifi not broadcasting securely and the kitchen sink faucet needed to be completely replaced. Despite the size of the House, I was surprised to find a stackable washer/dryer downstairs. While it worked, the washer door was broken and wouldn’t remain open on its own while trying to take wet clothing out. You had to hold the lid while pulling out the wet clothes/sheets.
We had to provide all the paper products, towels, and sheets for all the beds. That was a mild inconvenience (especially the bedsheets) but the beds and pillows were super comfortable! The vacuum provided did not work, but the broom and dust pan did! My other complaint was I wish I would have picked a house with another family area for gathering aside from the upstairs room.
The downstairs bedrooms with attached bathrooms were very nice but unfortunately the sound from upstairs easily passed through the ceiling/floor. The hot tub water was the perfect temperature however needed to be cleaned and the water was well. And finally I killed three large cockroaches on three separate days, one by getting out of bed and stepping on it!
Overall we enjoyed our stay in the Pink Pearl and would recommend it to others
