4 Bedrooms, 4 BA, Spacious Home In A Family Friendly Fun Filled Beach Town
About steve Kelty
We are two couples born and raised in Kentucky. We love our bluegrass state but we do not have a beach outside of our front yard here so we travel to Flagler Beach whenever we can!
steve Kelty purchased this House in 2016
Why steve Kelty chose Flagler Beach
This home was particularly appealing to us become we know the town and the surrounding communities well as we often travel here for vacation. We love the beach,of course, but we also like to walk and take bike rides as a family. This home is one truly one of the nicest homes in the area. It is essentially on the beach with the boardwalk over the dunes right at the house so it is easy to go to and from the house for lunch, snacks and that forgotten sand bucket. Just as attractive to us is the fact that this home is much closer to the restaurants and shops than the other large homes north and south of town. When "Flagler Beach" is searched on Google Earth, the center of town star nearly lands on our location!

Spectacular view especially in the morning in the Crow's Nest!
Well appointed amenities, very clean, great location and beautiful sunrises on the beach! Communication with owner was also a plus! Thanks Karen and family!!
Best Vacation Ever!
After spending most vacations in Flagler Beach for many years, we finally returned after several years away - our family with grown children finally coordinated time off for a vacation together! Flagler Beach is just as wonderful as we remember. This was the best vacation ever! The weather was perfect right down to the steady ocean breeze we enjoyed from the crow's nest. We did not mind that our trip got cut short by Hurricane Dorian - it's about quality, not quantity and every day was as beautiful as the next.
Thank you for sharing your lovely home complete with all details needed for a great vacation. We can't wait to come back and stay at Bluegrass on the Beach again!
Great House in a Great Town
We really enjoyed staying in this home It is beautifully decorated and well stocked. We flew from Maryland so we were happy that the home provided bed linens, bath towels, kitchen towels and beach towels. The kitchen is stocked with the tools to cook a nice meal but also had some staples such as cooking oils, seasonings and more. The hand soap in the bathroom and the dish soap in the kitchen were nice touches. There was also starter rolls of toilet paper and paper towels. We could just start vacationing without needing to run right out to the store.
The garage is stocked as well. There were plenty of beach chairs, little coolers to take to the beach, a surfboard boogie board and float rings. We all enjoyed the bikes. You can easily check out the whole town by bike.
The location of the house is perfect for going to the beach or walking down to a restaurant or shop. The crows nest porch on the top is so nice at night for relaxing and listening to the waves crashing.
Fair warning if you are vacationing soon. There road is being repaired from when a hurricane washed it away. The beach access directly in front of the house is closed but it's only a few more steps to the next beach access.
The beach is beautiful and there has been some beach replenishment. We loved watching the pelicans fly over us on the beach.
Tips: if you want to see some alligators in their natural habitat, go to Wadsworth Park just over the bridge. They will swim right to the bridge (obviously looking to be feed-the sign says do not feed them). There are also lots of turtles in that pond. For more nature, there is a nice walkway in the Betty Steflik Memorial Preserve which is pretty close to the house. We saw fiddler crabs, deer and egrets.
We had a fabulous time and would love to return to this house again some day.
Great Beachside House
The house is very large with lots of room for my whole family. There were plenty of beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, etc in the garage. It was a short walk to the beach and we went everyday.
There were many good options for dining within walking distance, but no so much that it felt crowded.
I would definitely recommend this house to anyone thinking of visiting Flagler Beach.
We loved our stay at Bluegrass
We loved our stay! Close to beach access, walking distance to restaurants. The house had everything we needed! We will be back!
We enjoyed our stay immensely. House was as advertised, if not better. Enjoyed our 1st trip to Flagler Beach, great little town
Numerous amazing attractions including restaurants, shops, a library, a museum and several well maintained parks are within walking and casual biking distance from this home. The Betty Steflik memorial preserve is a must see for walkers and bird watchers. It is a park within minutes of walking that features a beautiful board walk through the beautiful marshland between the ocean and the Intercoastal waterway. Flagler Beach is a only 20 minutes drive to Marineland where swimming with dolphins can make lifelong memories. Daytona, St Augustine, Ormond Beach, and Orlando with its many theme parks are all close enough for a day trip away from the beach.
Several golf courses are within 30 minutes including the popular public course, Pine Lakes Golf Course.
