Description

Photos and Description of this 1 bedroom holiday apartment in Gros-Caillou - The 16th district

Close to the Eiffel Tower, the Champs Elysees, and Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Very beautiful apartment located near the Seine, in the 7th district, The Gros Caillou district. 100 m away from the American University.

The ideal place for a stay in Paris,

its decoration, entrusted to a famous designer takes you in a chic, refined, and very comfortable atmosphere, where everything has been thought of to make your stay unforgettable!

The district is quiet but also animated by students, with pedestrian streets and many restaurants for all tastes, The 7th district has no less than 12 restaurants awarded by the Guide Michelin!

From the typically Parisian brasseries, to the wine cellars, and Petrossian for its caviar.

The most attractive districts are all located less than 15 min away in taxi from your accommodation,

you can go by foot to the Eiffel Tower (15 min) ,theTrocadero is on the other side of the bridge.

You are 5 min away from the Quai Branly Museum. You can get in 5 min to the Esplanade des Invalides and in its continuation, the very beautiful bridge of Alexandre III and then the Grand Palais, the place of great exhibitions of Paris. The Louvre Museum by lining the docks of the Seine, (20 min walking).

The Latin district and Saint-Germain-des-Prés are 3 stations away, the 'Bon Marché' department store, a real institution of the Rive Gauche (left bank of Paris) and its fine food store.

From the Place de la Concorde, you can admire the the view of the length of the Champs Elysees and the Place de l'Etoile with the Arc de Triomphe!

Finally the famous Marais district is located 15 min away in underground. an atypical district, the old Paris of art professions, craftsmen, the magnificent Place des Vosges very near La Bastille, high place of the French Revolution.

Finally the shopping districts; luxury: The Avenue Montaigne, the Faubourg Saint-Honore.

Chic, fashion, designers shops: Saint-Germain-des-Pres,

designers' show rooms, Original: the Marais

The art galleries: the Avenue Matignon and its surroundings (down the Champs Elysees),

the Marais, and Saint-Germain-des-Pres.

Boutique Hotel Style with all the Comforts of Home

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at 16 Rue Malar fulfilled every romanticized notion of apartment living in Paris. We were the first guests to stay in this lovely, newly renovated apartment, and the owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome and at home. They have gone above and beyond in thinking of every detail to make their apartment have the feel of a sophisticated boutique hotel, with the added comforts and luxuries of home. We particularly loved the Nespresso coffee that was provided in the kitchen, the plush, high-quality linens, and the luxurious massaging shower fixture.

The apartment was the perfect size for my husband and I to feel completely comfortable throughout our 9 night stay. There was no lack of storage for us to unpack our belongings and stow our suitcases away, which left the apartment feeling clean and open. The kitchen, while small, was perfect for cooking meals for two and was stocked with all of the essential tools you would need to craft a meal. We appreciated having the kitchen for quick breakfast before a day of sightseeing and made a few dinners at home when we wanted to sample the fresh ingredients to be found at the Rue Cler market (just a few blocks away).

The location of this apartment truly cannot be beat. While it is located very close to the Eiffel tower, it did not have the overly touristy feel of some of the other neighborhoods that were close to the major sights. While it was a vibrant neighborhood during the day, with its many wonderful markets, shops, cafes, and restaurants nearby, the evenings were peaceful and quiet. There was a perfect selection of restaurants to choose from in this neighborhood, at all price levels. We particularly enjoyed dining at Cafe Constant, L'Affriole, and the Fontaine Du Mars, all located within a few short blocks. The location of the apartment was also very convenient for sightseeing. While there were metro stations located nearby, we found it just as enjoyable to walk to most of the major sights. It is also very close to the Pont D'Alma train station where you can ride the train out Versaille for the day.

I couldn't be more pleased with our experience renting this apartment and have already recommended it to many of my friends and family. Not only was the apartment exactly as pictured and described, but the owners were so helpful, kind, and professional that any worries I had about renting rather than staying at a hotel were put aside. This apartment truly is a gem!

Apartment with fantastic location and amenities

  • 5 of 5

If you are a frequent traveler, or a first time traveler to Paris, this is a perfect apartment for you to stay in. The apartment has every amenity you need for a comfortable stay. The apartment has been newly renovated and every upgrade is about as nice, if not nicer, than you would see in a 5-star hotel.

You are within a 5-10 minute walk to two different metro stations, as well as the Eiffel Tower, Les Invalides, Grand Palais, the Rodin Museum, and much more. There are several top end bakeries, shops, restaurants, and an open market within 2-4 blocks of the apartment. You could spend a week in just this neighborhood and would be more than satisfied with the quality and quantity of food options.

The owner of the unit is extremely (as well as the housekeeper) helpful working with you during the planning of your visit, the booking process, during your stay and after you leave. That is hard to come by these days and is something you can not put a price on, a personal touch!

At the end of the day, if you are looking for a short or long term stay for 1-2 people, this is the apartment for you.

Great apartment

  • 5 of 5

Very well appointed apartment with extremely comfortable king-sized bed. Thoughtful attention to detail in guest needs. Location Is excellent. Housekeeper very warm, helpful and accommodating. Apartment is up one flight upstairs. It is beautifully furnished. The stairs up to the apartment are very old and built in a narrow spiral and a bit difficult to climb but we are senior citizens and managed it fine with care.

Will happily stay here again

  • 4 of 5

Lovely apartment in a great location. Our experience in dealing with the owner right though to being met at the apartment was great. I was thrilled to find a Nespresso machine in the rather small kitchen but we had everything we needed for our brief stay. It was very clean and modern with lots of upgrades .

The security deposit is unusually large (twice the average of other European cities we stayed in) but no problems getting it back.

[If, like us, you are coming here from Gare du Nord, only get into a taxi at the rank with the word taxi on the roof light and make sure the meter is used (lots of charlatans loiter there to fleece the tourists)]

Over the top value, location and comfort!

  • 5 of 5

We want to thank the owner, Allain so much for our visit to his beautiful apartment. The amenities nor the location could not have been better. The housekeeper was most efficient in being there exactly on time and co-ordinating out transfer. Because the location was so perfect, we probably walked almost 40 miles durning the week and had no need of taking a bus or taxi. Also, recommendations for restaurants introduced us to some of the best food we have ever had. We will certainly visit this unique location again and look forward to completing the list of recommended restaurants.
