Well appointed chalet, clean and tastefully furnished, just lacking a toaster! We didn’t have a car but we feel a car would have been better and meant less walking with skis and less waiting around for buses! We thought walking to the centre of the village with all your rubbish at the end of the stay was a bit much! But overall I lovely chalet just we found the location a bit too far from any action/slopes but ideal if you want peace and quiet!
Family ski holiday Feb 2019
We have recently come back from our stay at Chalet Cimbria and I can honestly say it’s an amazing place to stay.
We were a family of 3 adults and 3 teenagers. The chalet is like home from home, well equipped, clean and well maintained. The fixtures and fittings were all good quality and the beds were super comfy. The hot tub was a huge hit after a days skiing.
We didn’t have a car so walked to the ski lift each day which took us about 6 mins. The town is small but there wasn’t anything we couldn’t get, small supermarket, chemist bakery and delicatessen.
We ate out at a couple of the restaurants which were excellent and cooked a couple of nights in the chalet. We used the raclette machine a couple of times which the kids really enjoyed.
Communication with Emily prior to the holiday was easy and informative.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again if we came to Morillon.
Thank you 😀
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We're so pleased that you enjoyed both Morillon and Chalet Cimbria as much as we do.
The perfect property
This is the perfect property and location for friends and families. Only a short 5 min walk to the ski lifts and shops. We had everything we needed and more. The local area is lovely and quiet but with plenty of places to enjoy yourself. Thanks to the owner and property manager for making it a wonderful holiday.
Hi - so glad to know that you had a great holiday and thank you for taking the time to provide us with your lovely review. Best wishes Emily
Lovely chalet and brilliant location
Chalet was very well equipped, clean, modern with some lovely extras including a hot tub. Beds were very comfortable with crisp hotel style bedding. The chalet is just a short walk from the centre and ski lift with ski hire shops very close whereby ski equipment can be left overnight. Also great walks along the river opposite and into Samoens. I can thoroughly recommend this chalet.
Thank you for such a great review (and apologies for our tardy reply). Really glad to hear that you had a great experience. Best wishes
Excellent Choice for location, amenities and overall help
We booked this chalet quite late in the Skiing season, but it's a 2 minute drive (8 minute walk) from the Morillon gondola, so perfectly placed and set back on a feeder track just off the main road. When our flight was cancelled, Emily, the owner, was so understanding and allowed us to extend our stay another day, and her contact Andy in Morillon was equally friendly. Chalet has all you need, good kitchen, big table, comfortable sofa, tv, games room, fire … we had a fantastic stay and would use again. All very simple on arrival and departure (just 1 hr to Geneva airport) and the kids loved the outside hot tub … so easy to use and it lights up in the dark.

About Emily White
Family of 4 with 2 boys, we love the outdoors and fell in love with the area of Morillon some years ago. We use our chalet as our main holiday home and look forward to being able to share the amazing experiences with others. Each time we return we find something new to explore or do making an the ultimate location of us and the family.
Emily White purchased this House in 2018
Why Emily White chose Morillon
We fell in love with this Chalet in 2018 that is nestled in the lovely and picturesque village of Morillon where we have been spending summer and winter holidays for many years. There are amazing and different views from every window of the surrounding mountains and valley. For us we wanted somewhere that our children could safely and easily access the ski lifts and not be reliant on others, the location of the chalet means they can do this as well as walk to the local swimming lake in summer and get an easy bus to Samoens. As a family we love being able to explore the surrounding areas, with direct walks from the chalet across the valley or into the local mountains. We all have great feelings for the property, whether that be sitting in the hot tub with a glass of wine enjoying evening views or having breakfast on one of the terraces enjoying the peace and quiet except for the gentle ringing of cow bells or birds.
What makes this House unique
