A spacious self contained apartment in heart of Forres Moray

The apartment has been recently refurbished in modern but traditional English Style. It boasts it's own entrance. It was originally the kitchen quarters of the house but has been sympathetically restored to create a spacious one bedroom flat. . The apartment has a large sitting room /dining room with plasma TV. The sitting-room has a sofa bed which sleeps two.The new kitchen has washerdrier, cooker, microwave and fully stocked cupboards.

The flat is in a Grade Two listed building.

The bedroom has a comfortable double bed and ample bedroom furniture. The newly refurbished bathroom has a bath and shower.

It is now possible to rent an extra single bedroom which has been turned into single accommodation with an ensuite. NB The room is ONLY available if the main apartment is being rented. It is not available on its own!! The apartment can sleep up to five.

Free Wifi , gas and electricity included and all linen. Dogs welcome with prior booking. No taxes to pay

Forres is a beautiful award winining town in the heart of Moray. It is an excellent place to tour the Highlands from. There is free car parking in the carpark opposite and there is a bus stop minutes away. Boyne House is situated on the whiskey and castle trails and also suitable for Davaway walk.

Moray boasts some of the most beautiful and unspoilt beaches in UK. There are often dolphins visible in the sea.Boyne House is four miles from the beach. Forres is also one of the oldest small Scottish towns and was made famous for being featured in Shakespeare's Macbeth. The woods outside Forres are' the woods that walked 'and Maceth was supposed to have been born in Forres.

The town has won many awards for its gardens and for being one of the best kept towns in Scotland. Inverness is easily accessible, as is Nairn and other small town such as Cullen and Banff in the opposite direction. Findhorn and it's beautiful beach is only five minutes by car away. Elgin is only ten miles away.

The tourist office is a few doors away and there is always lots to do in the local area.

The apartment sleeps up to four but it is now possible to book the studio when booking the main apartment. The property will then sleep up to five,

Beautiful Accommodations at Wonderful Location

The apartment had a light on and was warm when we arrived. So appreciated! The location is wonderful if you are interested in whiskey distilleries. The Red Lion is right across the street, with great food, drinks, and music on Friday and Saturday 5 to 7 pm. The place was clean. One shower didn't drain well (in the tub). But the other shower and bedroom was available to us. Forres is a sweet little town: Coop right around the corner, the Benromach whiskey distillery in walking distance. Another great restaurant was the Mosset Tavern on Gordon Street--on the way to the distillery. Heat worked nicely. Internet was good.

As described, perfectly situated to explore Forres

We really liked the accommodation, everything was clean and tidy with nice furnishings and attention to detail. The heating was very efficient so we were warm and cosy despite the cold weather outside. Only issues we had were not being able to find a cheese grater, if we go back I will remember to take one with me :-). Can highly recommend this apartment as a lovely place to stay, many thanks to the owners.

Sehr gemütliche Unterkunft

Ich war nun schon zum zweiten Mal in dieser Unterkunft und bin doch wieder sehr begeistert. Die Wohnung ist sehr gemütlich und liebevoll eingerichtet und alles ist sehr sauber. Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin ist hervorragend.

Tolle, sehr große Ferienwohnung in perfekter Lage für die Speyside, die Highlands und Inverness

Die Ferienwohnung liegt in Forres, einer kleinen und wirklich sehenswerten Stadt zwischen dem Tal der Spey (Speyside) und Inverness, und nur etwa zwei Autominuten von der Schnellstraße, die alle wichtigen Ziele der Region verbindet erreicht, entfernt. Vor dem Haus führt eine kleine Straße vorbei, öffentliche und kostenlose Parkplätze sind gut 100 Meter entfernt. Vom Haus aus fährt man rund 25 Minuten durch die Highlands nach Carbridge, ca. 35 Minuten bis Aviemore - der Outdoor- und Wanderhochburg in den Highlands. Auch Inverness und die wichtigsten Destillerien sind nach 25 bis 35 Minuten Fahrt erreicht - wenn man nicht ständig Fotos von der atemberaubenden Landschaft macht :)

Die Wohnung selbst ist modern eingerichtet: Das Bad mit Badewanne und Duschvorhang ist gemütlich, das Haupt-Schlafzimmer groß, das Wohnzimmer für schottische/britische Verhältnisse richtig groß. Die Küche ist modern und umfangreich mit Voll-Herd (inkl. Grill und Backofen), Mikrowelle, Kühlschrank, Wasserkocher und - nicht zu unterschätzen! - einem modernen Waschtrockner, also Waschmaschine und Wäschetrockner in einem - ausgestattet. Gerade wer längere Aufenthalte, Rundreisen oder Outdoorerlebnisse plant, wird die Waschmaschine lieben :) Im zweiten Teil der Ferienwohnung ist eine zweite Küche mit Gefrierschrank, ein zweites Vollbad mit Dusche und ein weiteres Bett im Wohn-Küchen-Bereich - man teilt sich also das Wohnzimmer des ersten. größeren Teils der Ferienwohnung. Im Prinzip ist der zweite Teil ein 1-Raum-Appartement, das durch eine Verbindungstür mit der großen Wohnung verbunden ist. Ob dieser Teil auch immer Teil der Buchung ist, ist mit der sehr netten Vermieterin vorsorglich besser einmal abzuklären.

Da die Wohnung in der Tiefpaterre liegt, hat sie zwar nicht viel Tageslicht, die gemütliche Atmosphäre in dem historischen Haus und die stilvolle Einrichtung machen dies aber Wett. W-Lan (WiFi) und Digitalfernsehn funktionierten tadellos und runden das Angebot auch für "digital natives" zufriedenstellend ab.

Wer eine saubere, warme, großzügige und komfortable Wohnung sucht, um mit dem Mietwagen die Region zu erkunden und abends in einem der verschiedenen Pubs und Restaurants fußläufig einzukehren, ist hier genau richtig!

Sehr schöne Ferienwohnung

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in dem schönen Ort Forres sehr genossen. Die Wohnung war perfekt für uns. Es ist alles vorhanden und sie ist mit viel Charme eingerichtet. Ich kann sie mit bestem Gewissen weiterempfehlen.

Forres is a beautiful award winning small Scottish town. It is near unspoilt beaches and mountains. It is an ideal place to tour The Highlands from. It is close to Inverness and many castles. Forres is considered one of the best small Scottish towns that there are. Boyne House is a merchant's house built in 1780 situated in a quiet road just off from the High Street. The building is listed.

It is situated both on the whiskey and castle trails.
