We celebrated our Christmas 2017 at the beach this year and this house was perfect for the 11 of us. Close walk to Rehoboth Ave and lots of space and room to spread out as well as congregate. Kitchen was well stocked with both cooking and serving pieces. Would have liked dining chairs as we like to spend time in conversation and games around the table but the benches allowed flexibility too. David, the property manager, was helpful and attentive. Overall a great location and would recommend to all.
Perfect for a large family or group
We were looking for a larger property within walking distance, possibly to the beach and town. This house fit that criteria. We had 6 adults and 3 small children, two of which are toddlers, and so I was more picky than others might have been.
On the plus side, the layout of the house would be perfect for just about anyone. The pool, the screened in porch and the open concept with more than adequate dining table and seating were all fantastic. The kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans and the washer/dryer were newer and just great as were the extra drinks frig and wine frig, which made a big difference to us. The location was amazing, especially when you take into consideration the beach pass, making ferrying people to the beach easy and quick. The parking passes were a plus too. It was a four block, lovely walk to town and the neighborhood was probably the most charming beach neighborhood that I've ever been to. Especially appreciated was the security aspects that let us make sure the toddlers could not access the pool area accidentally. Also, the easy communication and rapid response from the management were def a plus as well.
While not everyone would need pack and plays and high chairs, I think a property of this caliber should have at least 2 of each available to keep renters from having to bring their own or rent. There were some inside toys available, which were appreciated. My only other wish is that there had been a more extensive "book" or folder of restaurants and esp grocery stores. We didn't discover those that were within in walking distance until the last day and spent valuable time in traffic going to the Safeway, which really wasn't nec with the grocery stores located in town. I know that that is our fault entirely, but when you only have a week and part of that is rain, it is hard to get out and explore the area for necessities when you are pulled to be on the beach in nice weather.
If you have stroller aged children, make sure you bring one with you as there are so many places to walk.
All in all, we would def rent this house again. It is comfortable and quite frankly just lovely and well appointed. I was a little skeptical when I was looking as this house didn't have many reviews. Don't let that stop you...great house in a wonderful place.
This house was unbelievable
This how was massive and was able to accommodate everyone very comfortably. Everyone had their own bed and all the bathrooms and showers were brand new. The kitchen and lounge area on the first floor is massive and has everything that you could possibly need, from kitchen appliances, to a wine fridge, to a big, flat-screen TV. The screened in porch is perfect for relaxing and the pool is nice after you get home from the beach. The basement is also a nice relaxing spot as well with a big TV and a huge couch. The driveway fits three cars nicely and they give you two parking passes as well. All in all, this house was incredible, the owner was very nice and easy to work with, and I could definitely see myself coming back here in the future.
Great for families (very big or multiple)
The review by Carol L. is absolutely correct. We loved the house. The layout is great for a large number of people. The house is tastefully decorated and well stocked (but see below). The pool and screened in porch are nice after a day at the beach. The walk to the beach or into town is long but doable (mostly along tree-lined streets). The beach parking pass helps. Renting bikes helps also. We had five cars (three in driveway and two on street with pass). Beware parking tickets. I got one for parking in the wrong direction in the first hour of being there. Put the pass in your car right away. NOTE THAT YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN BATH AND BEACH TOWELS, AND PAPER PRODUCTS. There is a W/D.
Perfect for families
This home is absolutely gorgeous! The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking meals. For our family of 13, this house fit perfectly with a nice layout and ample space. The 3 floors allowed each family to have their own bedrooms. The area in the lower level worked out well for the teenagers to watch TV and play games. After a hot day at the beach, it was nice to come back and lounge in the pool. The screened-in porch allowed the adults to watch the kids while they swam. Did I mention the wine fridge and additional small refrigerator for other beverages? David went above and beyond to accommodate our family, even after our stay. This was the perfect place for our family's vacation.
