Chapel Apartments Wales with its panoramic views of Carmarthen Bay specialises in weekend, and longer holidays for groups of up to 18. If you have something to celebrate you should be here! Please note you hire the entire building. The building is "massive"

Chapel Apartments Wales is located midway between the Gower Peninsula, and Tenby overlooking Carmarthen Bay on the edge of the idyllic village of Llansaint with its traditional welsh pub, where you can all be assured of a warm welcome, and great food.

We are mid way between the historic town of Kidwelly with its magnificent Norman Castel at 1½ miles, and Ferryside with its large golden sand beach, and railway station at 2½ miles. The nearest access to Carmarthen Bay beach is 1.5 miles, and is a beautiful walk. Our local Blue Flag beach which is 8 miles of golden sand is at Pembrey Country Park 5 miles.

The panoramic views of Carmarthen Bay from the elevated hillside position of Llansaint village are simply breath taking. You will be hard pushed to find more exhilarating view’s in the UK.

We are located just 14 miles off junction 48 of the M4, ideal for weekend getaways. About 1¼ hours from Bristol M4/M5

The 17th Century stone chapel with its oak beams, and fabulous 7 feet circular stained glass window project a kaleidoscope of colures into the chapel. The apartments are deceptively large easily accommodating 18 guests to congregate or be seated in any of the three apartments. The Jolly Roger apartment on the first floor has the extra large dinning table which seats 18, and with three fully fitted kitchens to spread the load, catering for 18 is easy, and three washing machines.

Everybody sleeps on a quality full size bed, with deep fill Silent Night mattress. No Bunks, No sofa beds, and No small beds at the chapel, guaranteed.

The garden is accessed by way of the ground floor Admirals Rest apartment which is ideal for the less agile of your group. We do have a large gas barbeque in the garden which is not shown in the photo's.

The chapel is one building with three independent apartments accessed from one entrance into the building, and then independently off a flight of stairs. No steps to gain access to the ground floor Admirals Rest apartment.

We have our comprehensive visitor information area on the second floor together with our DVD library. All apartments have emergency free to use telephones.


The “Wales Coastal Path” runs from Llansaint village across the meadows, through the forest, and over the hills to Ferryside. On the way you will wade through ankle high Blue Bells, Buttercups, Daisies, and a rainbow of wild flowers in April, May June, across winding streams, and ancient steps cut into the hill sides, and along the entire route you will stand in ore of the panoramic views of the Pembrokeshire coast line. A great place for photographers’ with some serious kit.

Quality accommodation, perfect for our family

14 of us stayed for our family holiday. To have space for 3 generations that enabled time together and private space was perfect. The accommodation is a very high standard, clean and with comfy beds.Set in a quiet village with friendly locals. There was plenty to see and do nearby, Thank you Gary for your hospitality.

Fantastic place for a get together!

We had a fantastic time at the chapel apartments. The get together was for my mother-in-laws birthday. Each apartment was well equipped and well decorated and there was plenty of space for everyone! We had a meal at the pub (Kings Arms) on the Saturday night which I can also recommend! Gary was very helpful from the beginning of the booking process to making sure we had everything we needed when we arrived. I can highly recommend the chapel and will definitely be booking again!

Well I can really say what a remarkable place this

Well what a remarkable place this is my 3 boys and family booked it for my 65 th birthday it was amazing every think there for us very clean and modern it was lovely all my family Under one roof we went to the pub on the sat for birthday celebration and the landlord made us very welcome and the home cooked food was just out of this world we even managed to get on the lovely beaches I think we will be making this s yearly family holiday thanks Gary

Beautiful chapel conversion

We were met by Gary who was so very helpful and welcoming. The three apartments are to a very very high standard, there was nothing we needed that wasn't provided . It was an absolute pleasure to be able to stay in such a pretty chapel . Everything about it was wonderful , including the local pub The Kings Arms and the landlord Calvin . Go and stay and pop in the pub your guaranteed a great break . We shall be booking again .

Excellent place to stay.

We were a party of 15 who were taking part in the Swansea Bay 10k race. We found Chapel apartments were perfect for what we wanted. All 3 apartments were very clean, very spacious and very well modernised. We are a very active group with a wide range of interests and so we found plenty to do what with the excellent coastal cycle routes, walking and other local attractions to visit. The two pubs in the village were fine to eat in providing you prebooked especially being a large group. We would deffinately come back again and would recommend to friends. The owner met us on arrival and departure and was very helpfully and friendly. All in all a great long weekend break for us all.

What makes this chateau / country house unique


Staying at a chapel converted into apartments is definitely a unique experience. The question is, is the experience a positive one?

We have now had more than 7 years of guests staying at Chapel Apartments Wales, and I have spoken with many. The overwhelming, and unanimous opinion of these many guests are that the chapel is a massive hit.

Some of the points made are:

Some of us are vegetarians so we had our own kitchen.

The apartments are massive, all 18 of us could sit together in any of the apartments.

The children just ran back & forth from the park 100 meters away. It was great for them to play cricket and football without worrying about loosing the ball.

The young children were watching dvd’s in one lounge, the older children, used another, and the adults used the ground floor, and had some quality time.

Having our own washing machine in each apartment was a big advantage.

All 18 of us could eat together with ease.

In the evening retiring to our own apartment earlier or later was a big advantage.

Having an apartment for the babies to sleep in peace was great.

Locking our own apartment was reassuring.

Having our own bathroom was ideal.

Although our group mainly ate together, it was lovely to sit in our own apartment for breakfast or snacks.

Some family’s are more close nit than others, and not everybody wants to be together in one space all the time.

Having our own DAB radio in each apartment made a lovely change from the TV, although the DVD selection was awesome, and very much used.

We couldn’t be bothered to cook so we all had dinner at the village Pub. It was so cheap it was hardly worth cooking.

The best holiday we have ever had, we are definitely coming back.

Carmarthenshire is the garden of Wales. It encapsulates some of the best scenery in the UK. We are also blessed with the logest golden sand beaches in the UK. The Brecon Beacons are about 40 minutes drive from Llansaint. The National Botanical Garden of Wales is 25 minutes drive. Closer to home is the market town of Carmarthen which is the oldest town in Wales, and 20 minutes drive. It benefits from its castle ruins in the town centre. It mainly consists of a labyrinth of narrow winding streets, its main theme is old fashioned men’s out fitters, craft and boutique shops, occasionally separated by Café’s bars, and restaurants of which there are many. There are more than 50 licensed pubs and more than 20 restaurants in Carmarthen Town.

One of the main attractions of the area is Pembrey Country Park which houses a dry ski slop and bobsleigh run (COBRA) which the kids love. There is also a miniature railway through the forest. Easy access to our local Blue Flag beach from the park. Pembrey Beach is eight miles long of golden sand with dunes. Pembrey Park is less than 15 minutes drive. Cycling along the Millennium Coastal path is very popular. Its 13 miles of tarmac paths which follows the coast (NO cars). There is a large steam Museum just outside Kidwelly with several old steam trains and large steam engines. Well worth a visit. Pembrey Motor Racing Circuit is also 10 minutes away.

Walking, Cycling, Castle's, Beaches, Horse Riding, and fishing are probably the main theme of the area. Although there are many other interests. You will be surprised at how quiet the beaches and castles are,and little traffic congestion. A great place for poets artistes and readers.

There is a picturesque harbour at Burry Port which is 15 minutes drive. There are numerous massive beaches in this area of Wales including the famous Pendine Sands.

We do have our own comprehensive visitor information area at chapel apartments, and don't forget The massive Norman Castle in Kidwelly in walking distance of Llansaint.

Llansaint is located central to Carmarthen Bay with its numerous top visitor attractions. The Gower Peninsula, and Mumbles are at one end of Carmarthen Bay with Caldey Island and Tenby at the other. When in Tenby take a boat to Caldy Island, and visit the monastery where the monks are making chocolate. You can see these locations from the Chapel.
