Rental of an entire estate with private villa not overlooked by any other property with no road or other noise, yet within walking distance of the famous Valbonne village and roman square. Guests have exclusive access to 40,000 m² (4 Hectares/8.5 Acres) of the estate lawns, gardens, olive groves and woodland. The main house has six double rooms, 4 ensuite and 2 sharing an ensuite. There is a 12 seat purpose built cinema with games and movies, fully equipped gymnasium and games room with Billiards, table tennis and football. The villa is ideal for families, with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay
For those who would like an even more active time, Club Med resort is adjacent to the entrance to the estate (access available by advance, separate arrangement)
Exclusive privacy: You will have exclusive use of 40,000 m² of land (approx.. 8.5 acres) with lawns, gardens, woods and sea views in the distance. The estate is only 20 minutes (14 km) from Cannes & the beach.
Riviera Style, Goudi features: A unique Villa designed by renowned architect Jaques Coelle (Goudi style) which is all about space and light. There is not one room in the property which is even or square. Every space is featured with curves and bending light. Coloured glass in the walls lights rooms according to mood, time of day and orientation. The Villa faces south but bends around with the track of the sun so that breakfast has the morning sun and the day ends with the sunlight streaming through coloured glass into the lounge, above the roaring fire. The Villa is all about interesting features and surprise. Nothing is expected. The main door as you approach is completely covered in copper and slotted in coloured glass and as you open this extraordinary feature, the Villa simply becomes one surprise after another. Always expect the unexpected! With the stunning sea & country views, this is a beautiful blend of home and architecture that fits comfortably into the middle of the private estate and mountains.
Guests have full access to the entire grounds. The villa benefits from its own private pool, fenced, with a shallow end perfect for the children. Leading from the living room, dining room and Kitchen is a spacious terrace with stunning sea views, furnished with a table and chairs to enable you to dine al fresco.
We have 2 staff who live on site in a separate staff villa away from the property. They are available for check-in/check-out, rubbish collection and, for an additional fee, cleaning responsibilities. We also provide their number for emergency contact.
There is a local supermarket (Carrefour) within a 5 minute drive and a local bakery within a 7 minute walk both towards the direction of Opio.
The local village of Valbonne sits in the center of a vast residential area spread through the surrounding woods. Valbonne has a pleasant Square we recommend visiting for dinner. This area outside the village includes luxury villas, housing estates for the nearby Sophia Antipolis high-tech park.
The old village, which has a large Anglophone population, has retained much of its 16th-century character, though mixed with an active town atmosphere. In contrast to the twisty little streets in the hundreds of other medieval villages of Beyond, Valbonne village is laid out in neat, symmetrical rectangles planned by the Abbot of Lerins, following the layout of Roman cities.
In the center of the village is the very lovely, 16th-century Place des Arcades. This central square is surrounded on all four sides by picturesque arcades, café terraces and little shops. The arcade at the "Hotel Les Armoiries" is engraved with a stone as "1628".
We recommend car hire as your primary transport during you stay. There are buses from the town and taxi's which are few and far between.
The property is ideal for families with children as there are many different activities within the private grounds. Smoking is not allowed inside the property and parties are strictly forbidden. We ask if you have small social gatherings that the mess is cleaned and trash left in the appropriate place. It is vital that the house is left how it was found. Please enquire about additional rules for organised events.
The property is just 1.3 km (1 mile) and about 10 minutes walk to the center of Valbonne. The beaches of Cannes, Nice, Antibes and Juan les Pins are just 20 minutes drive and there are three small ski resorts within 1-1.5 h drive too.

Unfortunatel, and unnecessarily, the square is also a parking lot for about 10 cars; not enough to be useful, but enough to spoil the view and the character of the square.
Dispersed through the little streets are many boutique shops and a few, well-respected restaurants here and there.
At the bottom of the village, across the street below the rectangle of the center, is the 12th-century Eglise Saint Blaise, the attached Chalaisien Abbey (or 'Ancien Couvent Chalaisien'), the Moulin des Moines (now a restaurant), and a very ancient-looking carved-stone monument. Beside the village to the west, across the street, is a new, little shopping complex and a parking lot. It has a restaurant, newspaper shop, very smart Italian and provence deli choices with local produce shops. The post office is at the far end of the parking lot.
All in all Valbonne the is perfect central location from where you can choose to explore the famous beaches of the Riviera with quick access to all the major resorts such as Cannes, Antibes, Juan les Lins and even St Tropez. It is also perfect for heading off into the Alpine hill villages and exploring the mountains. Sitting in the foothills of the Alps and overlooking the Mediterranean, this is the perfect get away, close enough to the action but not on top of it.
