Der Kontakt per Email mit Philippe war sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Man bekam einen Türcode um in die Wohnung zu gelangen. Die Loft ist geräumig und sauber. Alles da was man braucht. Wir fühlten uns dort sehr wohl. Metro ist nicht weit entfernt um die Stadt zu erkunden. Beim nächsten Aufenthalt in Paris würden wir sie wieder buchen.
The title says it all...
We had a wonderful stay in Philippe's loft. There were 6 of us staying there and were all very comfortable. My brother and his family joined us over the weekend for a home cooked meal and we were able to accomadate 11 people for dinner around his fabulous table. There was a grocery store just blocks away and the metro was very close by that connected to all the major lines. We have stayed in Paris many times and this space was one of the most functional we have experienced. Philippe was very friendly and accomadating. I would deffinatley stay there again.
Spacious and bright. The downstairs had concrete floors and though the windows could be opened, they are literally on street level which made it awkward. It's an unconventional space in that it has the feel of a converted commercial space and unique layout. The downstairs bedroom has a curtain, but no door, but his was not a problem. The beds were very comfortable. Wifi worked well. There is a washer but no dryer - a drying rack was used, no problem. The kitchen is well equipped. The area is convenient to various metro stops in a bustling diversified neighborhood. There's an open market on Friday mornings just up the street and many patisserie (sp? bakeries), restaurants and cafes in the area. It's definitely not a tourist area, though it was very easy to get to anywhere in the city via metro. There were some people sleeping on the street nearby but at no time did we feel unsafe in any way. There is an Asian area with good restaurants a short walk away. There are lots of ethnic restaurants of all kinds. Philippe was very nice, helpful and oriented us to the house and neighborhood. This was a comfortable space to return to after a long day of walking and sightseeing.
We had such an amazing stay at Philippe's loft! My boyfriend and I were staying in St. Ouen for two months prior and wanted to move to a larger accommodation in a more central location for four days while our family was in town. Philippe's loft did not disappoint. There are restaurants, shopping and grocery stores in walking distance and also quite a few metro stations. As freelancers, my boyfriend and I are always worried about internet connection, we had no issues working from this loft. Only downside is I left my Chromecast device in the back of the tv, of course my fault, Philippe was kind enough to say he'd send it by mail. Everything was amazing!
Our group (three adults, three children) stayed here for four days in July. The flat was spacious and comfortable and the natural light was beautiful. The location was pretty loud on Saturday night but we kept the windows closed the other nights and the noise wasn't a problem. We loved the location, around the corner from local restaurants and cafes where we had great meals away from the more touristy haunts, and the patisserie on the right hand side as you walk to Goncourt became a daily pilgrimage for our children...truly delicious! My only caveats would be these: If you are uncomfortable with the grittier side of city life this may not be the property for you--there's much lively street life right outside. If your group has early risers and late sleepers, you might not appreciate the open layout of the flat, where sound does carry. For our needs, though, it was great. As six females we definitely enjoyed the luxury of two bathrooms! : ) Philippe was a gracious and super responsive host. Thank you!!
