Beautiful Villa in a Secluded Spot
We had a perfect holiday in this stunning spot. Toni, the owner, met us on arrival and showed us around, although it was all fairly obvious. He also brought us a delicious plate of apple biscuits. When we weren't sunbathing in the beautiful garden we were swimming in the sea a few steps down from the house. If you just want to stay put, there is a good bar and restaurant in the village, and a couple of shops which provide the basics. The village is a gentle walk of less than 10 minutes, or you can swim across the bay quite easily - though watch out for the sea urchins on the far side. The drive down to the house is tricky, particularly in a larger car. If you hire a car, you could leave it in the village though. We didn't bother, and just hired taxis when we wanted to go further afield. That was easy too. Everybody spoke great English and the whole experience was completely stress-free.
Stunning location and a really helpful host - a bit tricky to get to, but it's worth it
This villa is in one of the most beautiful bays on the island of Brac. What could be more perfect than a morning swim from your private jetty, a refreshing garden shower and then breakfast on the terrace watching the boats come in and out. The beautiful Mediterranean garden is a true labour of love and provides lots of quiet spots to disappear with a book.
The teenagers loved swimming across the bay for a quick drink in the village bar.
The house is really well equipped with everything you need from extra beach towels to a gloves to use with the outside barbecue! We particularly appreciated the air con in the bedrooms in the really hot afternoons! The location is quiet and unspoilt, and that means it is literally off the beaten track! The road is the only reason not to give this villa the full 5 stars.
We had trouble with a large hire car on the rough road leading to the house, and some taxis from Supetar won't come down the unsealed track to the house. In the end we parked at the top of the hill, which involved a short but steep walk - not ideal with suitcases. Toni was really helpful, and recommended a taxi driver - Pave became our go to chauffeur for our stay, as he negotiated the tricky roads with aplomb and was always happy to meet us, even at night. Next time we would rely on his services and go with the boat hire that Toni recommended, rather than getting a hire car. The boat was delivered within 2 hours, tied up at our jetty and was the perfect way to pop across the bay for a meal or a beer. We even made it into Milna to buy groceries by boat! We recommend Draulik dive centre in Milna if you want to dive or snorkel. If you want a relaxing, seaside location, and are happy to climb a few hills you can't do better than this.
A wonderful villa
This is a really beautiful villa, though access would be difficult for those who find walking hard. It is a short walk and number of steps from the road. This adds to its beauty and quietness. Swimming in the bay from the jetty is fantastic. We were a party of five and the eldest teenager made a home in the separate apartment under the veranda. The other two shared a room meaning that we had one spare bedroom. The kitchen is large and the veranda a perfect place to eat. Other tables and seating areas in the garden are perfect for reading or snoozing. When you want to leave the apartment the island of Brac has lots on offer from the more tourist oriented Bol to the quieter villages and bays. We had a wonderful time and feel privileged to have stayed there. It was sad when the time came to leave, we would like to have stayed a lot longer.
Beautiful Villa with a wonderful placing
We were very satisfied with this property. It has a wonderfull view, beautiful garden, its own beach, nice terraces and all aquipment you would need.It is placed in a quiet bay and a nice small village with a very good restaurant. We can trully recommended this Villa for a families with children or for elderly couples who like peaceful and romantic surrounding.
Gardens are as beautiful as shown in the pictures with easy access to the fantastic stone jetty and table below for swimming in the quiet cove. (Kids, ages 13 & 11 loved the cove with all the tiny sea critter, fish, shrimp, crabs, and sea cucumbers.)Wonderful place if you are looking for privacy to relax, read, etc. No designated living room in the house, but we lived on the terrace anyway. (We were at the house in early June) Clean and well maintained, with plenty of linens and towels.
Hoof to the car is about 75 yards, but this leads to the privacy of the place...heard a Coo-coo bird every morning. Toni and his dad are helpful with luggage down and up the path to the car. (Toni, please thank your dad for the chocolate pancakes!)
I'm glad that you liked it. Next time get ready for some fruit dressing in the pancakes :)
Bobovisca is a small, quiet, village situated in the western most part of the island, in the deep sheltered cove.
It is a least populated place on the island with least summer buzz , yet with a small shop and a good restaurant.
