Two bedroom 4 star rated self catering apartment sleeping up to six people.

Schuss 301 is situated in Val Claret, the highest village in Tignes.It is no more than 200 metres from virtually all the shops/bars/restaurants and is approximately 400 metres from the ski lifts providing access to the Grande Motte Glacier and the Espace Killy ski area. Situated on the third floor ,the south west facing balcony looks up to the Glacier and the pistes. The apartment has been finished to a high standard internally with a double bedroom, bunk room and sofa bed to the lounge. The shower room is finished in French Limestone and the kitchen has everything you need after a hard day on the slopes. The main bedroom has views over the mountains/golf course and lake. On the ground floor there is a ski locker and ski boot room with lockers belonging to the apartment. There is free wifi in the apartment and freeview providing numerous Uk and French TV channels

The apartment is close to shops/restaurants/lifts but is far enough away that there are no noise issues late at night when the local wildlife gets into full voice. In summer there are plentiful opportunities for golfers, walkers, watersports, sailing, summer skiing and tennis.

Thank you for a great week, we would definately stay again. We were meet promptly by Gary's local representative on our arrival. The apartment met all expectations. The kitchen was well equipped. The on site boot room and ski room made storing equipment easy. You can park right outside the door to 'unload' your car. With windows on 3 sides of the apartment, it is light and airy with good views. Shops, restuarants and bars are all on your doorstep. Easy 12 minute walk to the lifts.



As we were travelling with young children (7 months and 2.5 years), Gary recommended Snow Babies (www.snow-babies.com) for any baby/toddler equipment needs. This service was sensational and we hired a 'bed guard' for the bunk bed and a highhchair, however you can also get prams, clothing, cots etc.



Our 2.5 year old spent the mornings 9 to 1300 at ski school (www.skione-marmottons.com), she had a great time and spent at least 2 hours a day on the slopes. This is one of the only resorts in EU we have found to cater ski lessons to this age group.

Val Claret is the highest of the villages making up Tignes with arguably the best access to the ski lifts and many would argue the best night life/shops /restaurants. This very compact village has everything a serious skier would want and offers restaurants for every taste and budget. If you are travelling with children Val Claret has 2 kids ski schools and plenty of kiddy friendly restaurants. In summer Val Claret is handily placed to the golf course/lake/tennis courts/indoor leisure centre and is right beside the funicular railway for the summer skiers and mountain bike riders. A Sherpa supermarket is situated in the village centre for all your self catering needs. Most of our guests travel by car. Whilst you cannot park on the street in Tignes, the multi storey car park is only 100 metres away at a cost of 75 euros for one week. If you opt for coach/mini bus/private transfer then you can get dropped off very close to the front door. The ski train from London terminates at Bourg St Maurice and taxis are readily available to take you up to resort level. The apartment is only 100 metres from shops, 200 metres from bars/restaurants and 300/400 metres from the ski lift network. We are close enough to be handy to everything but far enough away when the bars really start to get swinging. A free bus service runs every 15 minutes connecting Val Claret with Le Lac and all its facilities including the excellent indoor family watersports centre.

Great apartment, fabulous resort, highly recommended

We are a family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers, and we found the apartment had everything we needed. It is spacious, lovely and warm, and very well equipped. We especially liked the English channels on the TV, the WIFI, the very comfortable beds, the constant hot water and the stunning views out of every window. The kitchen has everything you need, and the apartment was spotlessly clean on our arrival.

Check-in and check-out was very easy, and Gary promptly answered any questions we had. It was reassuring to know that there was a manager in Tignes should we need to contact someone, and we were telephoned a week before our departure to ask how we would like the beds made up, and to find out if we had any questions.

We really liked the location of the apartment. It is a very short walk to the extremely well-stocked supermarket, a bakery and ski-hire shops. It is about a five minute walk to the nearest chair lift, and from there you can ski the short distance to the other lifts in Val Claret. The apartment was very quiet at night.

Tignes is fantastic. A huge skiing area, and even after a week of skiing all day every day, we never managed to ski all the runs. Despite going late in the season, there was still lots of snow around and we were blessed with a gloriously sunny week. There is something for everyone, including some great snow parks, lots of mountain restaurants and free shuttle buses should you need them. We never had to queue for lifts.

In short, a fantastic resort, and a fabulous apartment. Thank you Gary and we would love to return in the future.

A well located flat with valley and mountain views.

Wonderful views! The apartment was very clean, well furnished and generally well equipped. We enjoyed our stay, the flat suited us very well, especially as our family live on floor 6. There were a few things, however, which would have improved our visit. The bedding was inadequate on cold nights. (We remedied this by using one of the duvets from the bunk beds.) A sharp knife would have helped, as would a hand towel in the kitchen and a little more loo roll to get us started.

Great views. Great service. Everything as it was in the pictures

We had a great week. Snow was a bit on and off but thanks to the view we could deside when would venture out. The flat is exactly as it looked and the service team and owner really helpfull.

Fantastic property exactly as advertised

We had a fantastic week in Tignes Val Claret in this apartment. The descriptions given on the website were accurate and the property was clean and well maintained with plenty of room for a family of 4. It was a bit further from the ski lifts than we would have liked but that was the only slight negative. We would highly recommend this apartment to anyone staying in Tignes Val Claret.

Beautiful, Clean, convenient - recommended

Well equipped, beautiful apartment, felt like our home away from home... Stayed here with our 2 children, it's quiet and safe with great views and a short walk from the pistes. Had a lovely time and Gary the owner is super helpful. Would 100% return.

Lovely trendy apartment in Tignes, Val Claret.

I found the property to be very clean, and have a bright modern appearance. The living area was much as expected, based on the photos. The master bedroom was huge, with a generous clothes rail for all our kit. The second bedroom is a compact, with bunk beds and a large 5 drawer chest . It also had some useful clothes hooks on the door.

The bathroom has been nicely tiled, and has a powerful shower, which always seemed to have plenty of hot water.

The apartment block has a good sized boot room , with a locker for each apartment, and seating, to help fight your boots off at the end of each day. Your skis are stored in a separate looker room, right at the main entrance of the block.

I thought the location of the apartment was excellent. Although not ski-in /ski-out , it is a short walk to all amenities. The main lifts are approx. 3 mins walk, with lots of bars and restaurants closer than that . In fact , one of the nicest bars in the French alps ( CGH Nevada ) is just 1 minute away.

There is a very well stocked supermarket in Val Claret, which is only 2 mins from the apartment.

I was very pleasantly surprised at how many nice bars and restaurants there are in Val Claret, you could easily try some where new every night of the week.

All in all, I would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment, it is great value, in a resort which has a lot going for it, especially the amazing ski area !
