About Louisa Paola

My husband I live in England with our daughters Sofia-Clara and Katie. We love Italy and enjoy spending time there. It isn't always easy because of work commitments but when we can our first stop is Villa Sofia. Being in Italy allows us time to spend as a family. Laughing, playing with our daughters and just having fun together. We have many friends in Faicchio and spending time with them is important to us. We love to entertain and are just as happy to sit and relax in the beautiful surroundings of our home. Italy has a special place in all our hearts and we couldn't imagine being without it.

We love the sound of the birds, hearing the wind through the trees and generally relaxing at Casa Sofia. Our only complaint is that we cant spend more time there. We genuinely love it.

Louisa Paola purchased this villa in 2009

Why Louisa Paola chose Benevento area

I have been going back and forwards to Italy since a child. Both my mother and father were born in this area. I love the peace, tranquaility of Faicchio yet the beauty of the mountains and the village itself hold such a special place in my heart. I was so happy when my husband George agreed with me and loves it just as much as me. What we love the best is that we get to see hidden Italy which not many people see. Campania is famous for Naples, Amalfi Coast and Sorrento but it has so much more to offer. We are lucky to experience this every year. And now our children are experencing it as well. they are lucky bunnies!

What makes this villa unique

Why did we fall in love with Villa Sofia? If you had seen it when we brought it you would have thought we were mad! But with imagination we have transformed it into a luxury villa with majestic views of the mountains. The location is unique. The nearest neighbour is over 200 meters away and all you get to hear in the morning is the birds. The evenings you are blessed with a wonderful view of the stars and moon. If you are lucky as we are you get to see the fire flys. It is just beautiful. We love it!

Glorious Casa Sofia

  • 5 of 5

Wow what a wonderful villa. Well equipped, very well maintained and great amenities. I stayed here with my wife for our anniversary. Upon booking Louisa was very helpful telling us about the villa and surrounding areas. She kept in touch making sure we had everything for our stay. When we arrived there was a bottle of champagne (we had mentioned it was our anniversay). This was a welcome surpise.

The villa itself is well equipped and has everything you would want. There was even a hair dryer available to use. My wife was very happy about this! the villa is in a lovely area of campania. Close enough for day trips to Naples, Sorrento and Amalfi Coast. Faicchio is a lovely little village and the castle is wonderful to explore. there is a restaurant near Casa Sofia which does fantastic pizzas and the views of the village and mountains are just breath taking. its cheap too with good wine at 2 euros a bottle! We drank a few of them!

the outside of Casa Sofia is just wonderful. We found the wild rocket and went looking for asparagus. The fruit trees are lovely and the gardens provided a lovely area to relax. It is private and quite. The furniture was comfortable and Louisa even thought about guests sitting outside at night, with candles and lighting.

All in all a lovely villa, accomodating owner, great to explore the surrounding areas. We will definitely be visiting again. We have already recommended it to family and friends.
