About Seb Blakemore
Seb has been lucky enough to have lived in West Cornwall for the past 7 years. After coming down for an extended break he fell in love with this beautiful area and never left! Based in St Just, Seb took on an old wreck and worked to create a comfortable home. This is now also the headquarters for The Cornish Way who look after luxury cottages for a select group of owners and their lucky guests. The aim of The Cornish Way is to provide holidays that fill you with joy - and the bespoke selection of cottages Seb offers are sure to deliver.
Why Seb Blakemore chose Sennen
Views so good you'll want to sit and watch the sea all day. The beach and rugged countryside of Cornwall's far west are at your door, but when you need to kick back in a gorgeous place, the gardens will welcome you home.
What makes this Barn unique
If a holiday by the sea, with absorbing views, in a spacious comfortable home is your dream then look no further. On the edge of the small hamlet of Tregiffian, above Gwenver Beach, is the most romantic cottage that has it all. Stunning views out across the big blue sea, a large, comfortable social space, a balcony for sundowners and a charming garden. Filled with light by day, you'll want to stay here your whole holiday. In fact several guests have come back in winter to take a month over a project, to write, paint or to indulge in the luxury of reflection.

Super Property for a real get-away-from-it-all break.
Property is well furnished, with all amenities you require.
View from the balcony amazing.
We would definatley stay here again, however there were a couple of things I think the owner/manager should politely consider.
Place was not cleaned thoroughly, and there were cobwebs all over the sky lights and dead flies and dust all over window sills.
The rug in main bedroom was very dirty from foot traffic, and when we looked in the Hoover, it was full from years of hoovering without emptying
Clearly the cleaner isn't doing a very good job.
Also, the decking and posts on the balcony are rotten in places which is, or could be a hazard should one completely break.
These are not deal breakers, but when you pay this much for a property rental, you would expect a slightly better level of maintenance and cleaning.
We will at some point come back, and no it comments are not meant in bad taste.
Stayed July 2019
Delighted you enjoyed it and want to come back Martin. Sorry to hear about the points needing attention which we have taken on board and we will be personally checking the cleaning now to make sure standards are kept up. The balcony posts are safe but with the position facing the Atlantic they do need regular attention and the owner is in the process of getting permission to update the whole balcony so should be new when you next come.
Really appreciate feedback even if not always 100% positive as we are really keen to keep improving the lovely Myn Tea and obviously the guest experience.
This was a great find read all the reviews before picking and happy to add our 5* rating to the list.
The closest beach is dog friendly and only a 10 minute walk away
Sennen Cove is within walking distance with a good pub and beach cafe and with a little push on from there you are at Lands End
We had a great early May 19 break and would recommend
Very cool place and ideally located
This is a very cool holiday home. Every thing you need is here and more. It’s a great location with terrific walks and beaches. Seb was super helpful when we had questions. Overall 5 star!
Extremely well laid out. Loved the open plan and the feeling of space. On a scale of 1 to 10 it was a 9.99. We absolutely loved the property, the view from the balcony to the ocean and the sound of the sea. The very best Birthday celebration ever.
Really pleased you enjoyed your birthday celebration at Myn Tea and hope you get to come back and visit again soon!
Relaxing post Christmas break at Myn Tea
What a treat, so relaxing and cosy . Very clean . Loved sitting by the log burner with a glass of wine after walking the coast path with our dogs . Great views and the beach is beautiful. Would recommend Sunday roast in the old sucess at sennen beach.. Great food and dog friendly. Thank you for the goodies left out for our arrival. Cannot rate this highly enough . Well equipped cottage beautifully decorated. Loved the art work. We would highly recommend Myn Tea at any time of the year !
Thank you Lorna
So pleased Myn was a good antidote to Xmas and you enjoy it. Hope to welcome to the far west again soon!
We had the most amazing time at the cottage and in the surrounding countryside. We came down to Cornwall for a much needed break and some relaxation, and this is exactly what we got. The cottage was everything we needed, and the views were breath taking. We were so lucky with the weather, and were able to go out exploring everyday. We took some amazing walks along the coast, and didn't need to travel far for this, our own front door was breathtaking enough.
Thank you so much, we will definitely be coming to stay again.
Thank you Claire. Delighted you had such a good New Year break and hope you get to visit us again soon!
Myn Tea is on the edge of Tregiffian, a small hamlet at the end of a mile long lane.
The uninterrupted view looks out across a couple of fields towards the Scilly Isles, and is perfect for enjoying some of the amazing sunsets we get over the sea.
The walk to the beach takes about ten minutes back down the lane, and Sennen with its pubs, cafes and restaurant is just a little further on.
The cliff path starts pretty much from the door step.
West Cornwall is a stunning region offering huge variety including beautiful beaches, rugged cliffs, secret coves and wild moor land. It's steeped in history, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and UNESCO World Heritage Site in recognition of the mining heritage.
It's attractive for the art colonies of St Ives, Newlyn, Penzance and Lamorna. Surfers flock to the havens of Gwenver and Sennen. Cyclists come for the challenge of the hills and the beauty of the roads. Twitchers come to spot our unusual feathered visitors. And the rest of us love the romance and ideal family holiday location.
